The goat built LJ kit is amazing. I wanted a regular LJ and I almost spent the crazy price on one until Ian saved me and showed the goat kit. It’s the only way to go.

It works quite well in most situations. I don't have room or the axles for bigger than 39s.

Do any of the rock crawling fellas over there in the States run portal axels at all? Easy way to gain some height plus gear reduction & less stress on the driveline with the bigger tyres.

hmmm, we did a shoot with WD-40 that looks like a BKOR ad but is about WD-40 as well.

Pretty sure tire falling off is a ford problem. Had my whole right tire and axel slide out right after getting off the highway.. damn c clamp slid off the axel end in the pumpkin and shreded to bits in the gears.

this was a aluminum non hub centric wheel plus rough roads and not rechecking torque of the lug nuts problem. Oh well hard lesson learned.

Then it would end up way too heavy. I think I'd rather start over with a tub chassis and build something truly unique. No tons for me, I would throw some fabbed 9" housings in there.
