JEEP XJ STEERING UPGRADE! NEW STEERING BRACE AND STEERING BOX!
A couple of days ago I decided to start working on the steering system of my Jeep XJ. I installed a brand new steering box from Blue Top and the steering brace from Ironman4x4fab. So far I am very impress with the quality of this set and I can't wait to give you guys a full review after I test it. This is a first time I take the steering apart and I was kind of scared at first since I don't have all the necessary tools in case something goes wrong.

cool sandbox to play in! BTW, OX now has an electric solenoid option for their cable actuated locker - might come in handy - I'm going to the 4wheel store later this week to inquire haw hard I have to hit my piggy bank to drive away with one.

You made a good choice by going with Ironman 4x4 fab. Their products are top notch. I've been looking at that brace as well as some other parts. Much higher quality than others out there and great people to talk to

nice brace. a little bit shorter swaybar quick disconnects and some bumpstops and you're set.
you CAN buy the power steering reservoir without buying the pump. Dorman 603-902 Power Steering Reservoir
my jeep as well i broke the same thing on my steering pump i feel that.
So what's ur opinion of the steering brace after driving it a while? Is there a noticeable difference, upgrade?
What options did you choose for the blue top gear box I’m planning on running 33m/t on 16x8 aluminum wheels on a 5.5 in iron rock off-road pro link long arm lift kit with the coil springs in the rear on 4.56 gears with arb air lockers in both axles

You've got your XJ looking good just like it is, but do you have any plans to add a Winch Bumper to the front & spare tire carrier rear bumper, that would really make it look "Bad-Ass" even if you don't plan to Wheel it that much, keep up the good work and by the way, I really love the color of your jeep, I'm going to repaint mine this spring and I'm trying to decide whether to go with Silver or Black, my daily driver is a black H2 Hummer, and I've got a 86' 3/4 ton Suburban 4x4 that is Silver, it's been a project rig since 97' I finally put it in the garage and only use it for long overland camping trips, I've been working on my jeep now since last summer and I'm about ready to repaint it, just need to decide on a color, keep up the good work and keep the videos coming, even the simplest things are always interesting to see how much difference they make..............

This for all Jeep 80-02 but exc CJ
DO they have one for a 96 Jeep Cherokee with a 3" lift?

Chacar4191 hey, I believe their steering brace works for 96 Cherokee model as well. Anyways you can always double check in their website.

mine is 1988 Jeep and i use the old atf. i have also used atf4 in my 87 bmw 325 I steering pump. i think atf4 is ok but not cheap. any name brand [power steering should work.
