    You’d be surprised, took my jk unlimited out yesterday and was doing ~25-30 mph through deep quad desert track getting one really hard suspension bottom-out on a big rock on the right side and she still was completely fine by the end with no issues not even an alignment issue. Got air multiple times you can go way faster in these things than people let on.

    That little diesel sure does make a racket compared to my new 6.7 Scorpion. Still, I wish they'd allow them here in the U.S.

    You should become familiar with a product you are selling then. Willys edition jeeps are a tribute to the original "Willys" jeeps, not "Willie" Nelson. I don't shop dealerships because when I go, I always try to get sold a product with information that isn't true about a product that I did more research and have more (accurate) information on.

    damn i love the sound of that diesel. why cant we just have a diesel option in the states already. with the rise of gas prices and the fact diesel gets better mpg than any gas engine. why is this taking so long to happen?

    EPA. The 2.8 CRD doesn't meet US standards, so they are waiting to put the 3.0 in there, but there is excess demand for the RAM and the Cherokee and others (despite the high price premium) so putting it in the Wrangler that already sells very well is a lower priority. I suspect it will be part of the 2016 refresh for the 2017 model year. Might come sooner, but unlikely IMO. As for fuel economy, the diesel will do less for MPG than the 8-speed automatic would do as seen on the RAM and Cherokeee, but add both together and bang, you likely have a Wrangler around the 30 MPG mark they want to hit. On the manual side if the replaced the mediocre 6-speed with the new ZF 7-speed manual (the very new non-dual clutch model) that would help there too , but not sure about if the 7 would do better than the diesel, and likely less than the 8, but still the 7-speed plus the 3.0 diesel with 400+ torque would be the Off-Road King for most folks.

  • @kurorreach

    10 жыл бұрын

    the vented hoods are aftermarket for all Wranglers EXCEPT the Rubicon X series; it helps vent the engine and just keep verything regulated...is it needed-no, but it does work and also looks neat :)

  • @KnightShadey

    @KnightShadey

    10 жыл бұрын

    kurorreach The vented hood helps when crawling on a hot trail for a long time when there is limited air-flow across the Radiator, and when it's occasionally disabled for river crossings. It's always nice to have a cool engine bay (once efficient temp is reached) and while there are some aftermarket solutions, half of them are bad for water ingress (AEV's pools like the old MOAB, and the RKR Sport looks like it funnels water & rain), whereas the factory OEM 10A/W-X hood, and the Rugged Ridge or TOTL hoods do a good job while keep water under control.

    That would be Geko Green. Part of the best years' of colour, 2012-2013 (since they cross-over), which had Geko Green, Dozer Yellow, Orange Crush, Deep Cherry Red, Natural Green, Dark Forest Green, Rock Lobster, Flame Red, Cosmos Blue (start of 2012), and True Blue (Freedom edt 2013), Anvil, Billet, Commando, to name a few. This past year (2013-2014) has had terrible colours. The two I look forward to this year are Plum Crazy and Hemi Orange, and curious about Tank.

  • @KnightShadey

    @KnightShadey

    10 жыл бұрын

    edibe e You can see plum Crazy on a bunch of Chargers and Challengers, it's the revival of an old colour, like Go Mango and Go Bananas were for the Chargers SRT series. Here's the Challenger examples; www.plumcrazychallenger.com/ And here's a Cosmos blue wrangler; pictures.dealer.com/z/zeiglercdjdownersgrovecllc/1844/a4c956afe30f7257a633f671eb051fa1x.jpg BTW, the names have been changed slightly for the Wrangler colours this year (2015 MY) now that they are finalised as 'Wrangler' colors and not colours from other lines, so now Stinger Yellow is Baja Yellow, and Hemi Orange is Sunset Orange.

    In australia you're pretty much frowned apon if your 4wd is petrol not diesel. Every 4wd here come in either 4cyl 6cyl and 8cyl turbo diesel, 200 series land cruiser are twin turbo v8, theres only a few 4wds that only come petrol like fj, suzukis ect. id hate to live in a country with f all diesel 4wd

  • @KnightShadey

    8 жыл бұрын

    +jcyoho31 with Euro6 you got do that in Europe too, diesels need to be clean to play on the field, so the Euros are adding DEF and American diesels will add pariculate filters as well because everyone is harmonizing emissions platforms... even China. However the 3.0L EcoDiesel is nice, and is likely to be found in the Wrangler JL refresh, only not with a manual transmission which can't handle the torque, unless they find suitable replacement. Although the 8-speed ZF Auto isn't bad really.

    Do the Brits really think is four wheel drive testing for a Jeep? Take the log bridge, or whatever that is, for example! I would have driven over that at highway speeds! 65 mph or better! It would have been less bumpy that way! These vehicles float over stuff like that, at full speed! The hill climb and sharp turn with the berm? Get up some speed, jump the hill, and make the turn by steering with the throttle! Every American country boy 13 years old and better knows this! I guess it takes an American to drive an American vehicle. Do what you wish with the Rovers. I notice you try not to push them very hard. Perhaps this is because they are not JEEPS!!!
