I have a similar top by bestops and the rear straps are well over 5' long...can't figure out why so long

My Smittybilt top bar didn't fit right because the bots holding the brackets stick in the track causing it not to go all the way down. The velcro straps are too short. The padding around the roll bar is barely one fourth of an inch. The straps are about one inch short. The help line had no answer.

I just installed this on my TJ Rubicon. imo this was not designed for a full door jeep w/factory roll bar padding, the for lack of better words the water gutter Velcro straps don’t work with door surrounds on

I have this top by a different brand. Love it but when it rains, the water runs perfectly on the the back seat. Just a FYI is you have passengers. Lol 😂

I have a 1999 Jeep Wrangle. The top simply does not seem wide enough to get the three straps attached and the center strap's buckle does not fit between the roll bar and sound bar...Any suggestions?

Hi, Scott! Sorry for the delayed response! Honestly since its colder outside (here in PA anyway) the material of the top itself may not be warm enough to install. Soft tops and bikini tops alike are designed to be super tight to reduce noise when driving, and the material itself can shrink drastically when cold. If the fit doesn't look right there's always a chance of it being defective, but I would recommend waiting to a warmer day to try installing. -Zach

You can loosen the sound bar to get the buckle to go between the centre bar and sound bar, couple of screws, once the buckle is passed do the screws back up.

So your front water run off runs off directly into the car. Genius

To be fair, tops like this are mainly for giving you cover from the sun while the top is off and giving you *some* protection from the rain if you hit a storm. I wouldn't keep a top like this on summer-long if you live in an area that gets a lot of rain. -Zach

So you can’t have the bikini top installed with your original top?
