Hey buddy, that is one nicely equipped getaway Jeep that would do everything well, even to Daily. I had a 98 TJ, with a 6" Teraflex lift and swaybars, 2" body lift, 40x12.5x15 Mickey Thompson Baja Claws, Arb lockers front and back on Dana 44's, Custom bumpers with built in military gas can holders, shovel and pick mounts, and HiJack mount, heads done with magna flow exhaust and K@N Cold air intake on a snorkle, and I can't remember how many million candlepower the spot lamps were, but the would burn paper a couple inches away LOL and a bunch of just little cool stuff like air tools and everything I needed to just jump in and get lost in the mountains here in BC, Canada. And I miss it every day since I sold it in 2009 and you just might have inspired me to look for a project again, great video! I sure my TJ

I'm also very happy with my SafeTcaps frame repair kit. Interesting fact, I'm from MA and the company that makes the caps is in RI. I drove to the factory to pick up my kit and they just finished welding it together, so it was too hot to put in my truck. Anyway, the boss shows up and asks "you want a tour?" I said "If I can video, sure. I never published the video but I must say the quality is A+. The biggest issue is getting it installed correctly. I took the body off the frame and had it stitch welded, while the body is off repair, replace, repaint, or upgrade everything you can afford to do. Fantastic rig!

Hey nice TJ bud. I am in love with that color. Top notch for sure. They did a great job on painting it. If you wanted to switch up your game a little I would recomend looking into a long arm lift. I know its a lot of work but if it were my Jeep I would pull the body lift and swap over to a long arm. I just installed a metalcloak lock and load long arm on my 2004 Rubicon. It is a completely different animal now. I wish I could post a few pics here but look into them. I honestly hear angels sing while I am wheeling it. Love your ride. Enjoy every day.

Nice vid, thanks for posting. I've got a 2000 TJ with similar specs, just not as clean. One thought for you on your rear rack setup. Based on how you've attached your jerry cans to your rear rack, you may want to consider moving your fuel to the other side. Then you can use piece of 6-8 foot hose or a siphon pump to move the fuel to your tank and not disconnect the Jerry can from the rack. Not having to pull that can off the rack might make life a little easier when she needs a drink. If you decide to give it a try, make sure you practice it before needing it on the trail. Good luck, and treat her well.

I love the look of your Jeep. Very clean and tastefully done. I'm glad you didn't follow the crowd by changing your front fenders and rear flares. Ive yet to see any aftermarket fenders that look as good as the originals. If I wanted a flat fender look, I'd build an original flat fender on a modern frame with modern suspension and drivetrain.

Nice whip, especially the attention to detail on the paint job amd matching the valve cover! I have been running my '98 TJ since it was brand new. As far as that passenger side leak... remove your cowl cover, there is a small drain hole that gets clogged that gets obstructed that can cause excessive drainage into that footwell. Just swapped the ATK Baja 4.7 Stroker into mine this past year, world of difference for accelerating on the highway!

So cool. I bet that thing sings now! And thanks for the tip, I'll try that. Does it on both sides actually.

If it does it on both sides than it might be your door seals. That was the case with my TJ. Water would drip through the door jam and fill up the floor boards because the seals were worn out. I put new seals on and no more leaking. Awesome jeep btw, keep up the good videos!

Hi there! Nice to see your vlog. I also have a TJ 4.0 from 2000, I also have a dog and I also dream to travel with them :) There is lot of „also-s” ;) For now, I do not have it prepared as you have, but I am working on it slowly ;) Take care! Marek from Poland 👍
