    This is the best install video I've seen for this kind of lift and I've watched several at this point. Excellent camera work, catching the details of the areas being worked on and Ryan does a great job being thorough with the explanations of not only what is being done, but why it is being done a certain way.

    Video was great and very helpful. I got everything installed and it looks good, however, the day after, my Electronic Stability Control light turned on and the dash said to service it. Has this happen to anyone else? Do you know why this would have been effected? Is there anythi I can check or do (other than go to the dealership and let them scold me)?

    This kit won’t void the warranty will it? I just called the dealer and they said any aftermarket kits not installed by them could void the warranty.

    Looking at what they are offering on your site and the video listed this install is for a completely different Lift Kit. This video is attached to the add for the Rough Country 2.50-Inch Spring Suspension Lift Kit with Premium N3 Shocks which isn't a spacer lift kit and comes with shocks.

    One question can I change the factory shock absorbers for some fox without lift kit

  • @extremeterrain

    @extremeterrain

    You can definitely just swap out the factory shocks for ones made by Fox without needing a lift. You just need to make sure you get a shock for the factory ride height though. -Zach

    I was told that by Extreme Terrain rep that you need to purchase a new track bar and control arms in addition to this kit in order to maintain your castor and pinion angles? Just wondering if that is accurate information or can it be installed as is and maintain angles and ride quality?

  • @extremeterrain

    @extremeterrain

    Жыл бұрын

    While you don't "need" to - we highly recommend it if you have room in your budget. Adjustable front control arms will keep your alignment in spec and your Jeep tracking nicely down the road. Same goes with an adjustable track bar, your Jeep will have a centered axle with it. -Zach

    I have a 2020 JLU "WILLYS". And though this video is good overall, its very misleading on how difficult it is. The video makes it look so easy, when in fact it's far more challenging. Especially, if you don't have a shop setup. Me and a friend worked on this and only got the front done (?) after 6.5 hours of work. We had no breaks except to go to the parts store and get a come-along since the front axle shifted on us after we disconnected one of the driver side parts. Our other major nightmare was the passenger side bump stop; we never were able to tighten the nut down. We worked for a couple of hours of trying to rig a means to hold on to the nut to tighten it down. In the end we still had about a 1/4 inch to go. Suggest showing how to do the install in a non-shop (hoist) environment. One other thing... I had watched the video a few times before and referred back to it while doing the job. We followed the video step by step. I chose not to use the package instructions (poor and too confusing). I hope this commentary helps others.

    We appreciate your comment!! Yes, this is no easy feat as it is a 3/3 wrenches being difficult, requiring mechanical experience, and specialty tools. We give the half a day rating in the ideal settings. Sorry if the rating was misleading!
