Jeep Renegade Washer Fluid Leak/Repair

This is my 2017 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk. I noticed that my wiper fluid wasn’t working as it should. It had been super cold here around 10 degrees Fahrenheit for several days. I figured I had a clogged or frozen nozzle. Turns out my line broke that supplies the rear wiper. My passenger drivers side floor was completely soaked. I cleaned it up and started pulling trim to find the issue. Luckily I was able to find it and this is my video on how I repaired it. I think it will work.
Bottom line, Jeep should have used a rubber hose instead of cheap plastic. When we have variations in temp where I live in Utah, we go from 120 inside the car to under 10. Super frustrating but I think I got it fixed.
Let me know if you have had this issue!

Yup. It just happened. I'll be working on it tomorrow. Jeep should issue a recall when they use cheap, crap materials that fail after just a couple of years.

Very carefully pry it up. There are a few spots where the clips are connected. I had to try and find those spots and then use a plastic tool or flathead screwdriver (you could add tape to the end so it doesn’t damage the panel or wiring inside). Just be careful prying on it. I did have to buy a couple clips from my local auto parts store afterwards because I broke a couple. But those were only a few bucks for a couple of them.

Best of luck!! I just looked for the soaked floor and then started there. I also noticed that if you pull up the rubber around the plastic, you might see some water pooling up.

I am having issues with mine leaking too. How has this fix been holding up for you? What size vacuum hose did you use? What are the yellow pieces that you had to replace called?

I’m sorry you have been having issues too. I used 1/4 inch inside diameter hose - I think I paid like $1.50 for 12” of hose (Autozone) The yellow pieces are the panel hardware for Jeeps. I got mine then at Autozone. The fix has been holding up great - no leaks or issues that I can find.
