This sucks

I was super lucky. I went to three Jeep dealerships here in South Florida, each tried to pull my chain with ridiculous market adjustment prices for their used 392, or new inventory. Mind you , only one dealership had a new one in the back that had just arrived. I continued searching and found a dealer who was expecting (2) 392’s. They were in transit , and one was a sting grey. I immediately called them up, and advised them I would drive down to speak to the sales rep. I was all set to tell them to stick their M.A price where the sun don’t shine, since I would be ok with placing the order and waiting for the one that I want. Amazingly, the sales mgr. Agreed to sell me the sting grey model that was in transit for sticker price. Not a dime more. To make matters even better, they gave me 1k over what I paid for my used 2017 2dr Rubi. I waited 10 days, and POW! , I received a call 2 days ago, that it was ready for pick up. A glorious day for sure. I absolutely love it. Now, I am just waiting to upgrade tires and have some x-spell wrapping on the hood completed. Thinking about 35”s. Nitto or BFG, not sure. Since this model arrived with baby 33” tires, it looks a little sad.

I wasn't going with the 392 on my build but I was worried that for some reason the XR package would be discontinued before I was able to get my build started. Weird to have such a short run on a clearly popular engine option. I'm so pumped to get my Susquehanna Jeep. Thanks Matt!

I highly doubt Stellantis would spend significant development and validation expenses on the 392 for a short 2 model year run. The 392 required significant changes to the chassis, drivetrain, suspension, etc. Also, 2023 will be the 20th anniversary of the Rubicon and I am sure Jeep has plans for a special 392 edition (red leather seats, decals and and new grille?). I think you hit the answer on the head. Jeep most likely hit the maximum build target for 2022 392 models and doesn’t want to disappoint its loyal customer base. Ford is notorious for building 2021 Raptors well into the 2022 model year.

With the 6.4 and 5.7 getting left for the hurricane engines, it makes complete sense. Everything except cv axles and the engine is now being used in other wrangler/gladiator models. They made their money. Stellantis is also good like stated about preventing orders that can’t be fulfilled. With the refresh coming next year, some stuff will come back, but only time can tell

Sooo glad I put my order in for a 392 sarge green 3 weeks ago. Now the hard part is the wait.

Time to wait!

This video is yet another reason Susquanna Jeep has its act together. IMHO it would be a severe mistake not to speak with Matt and his team. You will get a great price; however, more importantly, you will be led through your order by one of the best. I spoke to at least eight area Jeep dealerships before realizing that I knew more about Jeeps than the "Jeep salesperson" who snagged me on the lot. Ask your average Jeep salesperson to define the difference between 3.73 and 4.56 ring and pinion gearing. Ask them if they know that the 392, which you now cannot order, is full-time four-wheel drive or like every other Rubicon. Yes, there are other Jeep sales professionals out there; however, if you doubt yours give Matt a call. Ask Matt to put you on his 2023 Jeep Anniversary order list.

Can you do a video on the issue with the bump stops on the XR? Would be nice to see how to fix this issue and what paths we can take to fix them. Y’all are the only ones who know anything about this as I have spoken to several places and they have no clue

Glad I got my 2022 rubicon extreme package. Just broke 1,000 miles today, so far everything works great. But I’m very interested in the Hurricane motor?! Right before I got my 392 I had 2017 rubicon Recon, fully build. Definitely miss how light my Recon Jeep was, it seems to me that 392 is very heavy and the motor puts out way to much heat and not enough vents for the heat to escape.

I feel ya been going back and forth between excited and annoyed since 10/15/21. But my 392 XR finally arrived at the dealership last week. I’m grateful it didn’t get stuck at the rail yard longer. Now the only issue is finding a company to haul it over to me. Hoping to see it the first half of May fingers crossed.

Crazy to say and I’m grateful that my local dealer had two 392 Wranglers in stock. I looked online one night and bought it the next morning, 2022 model. Not an XR package but she’s on 35s now. I’ll be upset if they stopped making 392 Wranglers.

Hey Matt. Cliff from Brooklyn N.Y. I'm truly disappointed in the recent news about the 392 or as my son calls it, " The baby Power Wagon". I was recently at the NY Auto Show and I get the feeling that getting this truck was like getting the last of the muscle cars from the 70's. I think jeep is moving towards the future with electrification. I don't think personally this is a answer to anything but it's a huge business venture that everyone care manufacturer is moving towards. I will keep my fingers crossed for the Baby Power Wagon but it's with cautious uncertainty.

I ordered a 392 XR on February 10th, 2022. I received a call from Jeep Premium Care on April 29th. They gave me two options. They would build my order now if I was willing to opt out of the XR package. If I wanted to keep it, they said my Jeep would be a 2023 model slated to be built in the 3rd quarter.

@@SusquehannaAutomotive they updated my order in the system now. They changed the model year to a 2023. More notable though is previously it had a build priority of 99. It now is listed with a build priority of 01.

I received a call on Thursday about my 2022 392 XR order. I had the option to get it without the XR or if I want the XR it won’t be delivered until September and it will be the ‘23 model with price protection. I opted to wait, painfully.

I will take delivery of the 392 Rubicon in May 23. One of the last ones

I wonder what the final number of 392's that will ever be made will be? It can't be many. I ordered my 392 XR on Nov 6th and it has been built but not yet arrived in South Carolina. In two more days it will be 6 months. I don't mind the wait time seeing that I will take delivery of a Jeep that may never be built again.

Frank, check out the 392 board. There are a couple of running tallies for production 392s. Numbers are pretty low right now. If they stop the values will go through the roof.

I would guess order books would open around the same time as last year (October) with all the delays going on.

No 392? I still want it. Just have to trade in my 2021 Rubicon for it. I hope they bring it back. Just feeling the power and the loud exhaust. I’ll be speeding all the time.

The values will go through the roof. @jeff ford not everyone is OK with some aftermarket 6.4 swap job. Factory built vehicles will ALWAYS have more value.

As someone already mentioned, which completely makes sense, for all of the upgrades they had to do to beef up the chassis, etc. to have it one year would make it a loss for them. Not going to happen. I honestly think it will be back along with the 392 in the Gladiator. The head of Jeep already has stated the Mojave package is ready for it it if it were to happen. Just makes sense.

2023 are just around the corner. still will be a shorter wait then a bronco
