When we first collected Emily’s JL Wrangler Rubicon, we were a little disappointed that the RHD export version of the Rubicon did not come with High Top Fenders that comes stock on the US models.
However, we were able to get a set of Mopar High Top Fenders take -offs off the internet and we arranged for it to be delivered to us to install it on Emily’s JL Wrangler Rubicon! In the first part of this Jeep Journal video, I will show you how to remove the existing front stock fender flares as we proceed to swap out the stock low fender flares for the high top fender flares.

During the install, we did a measurement of the fender well wheel clearance before and after and were elated to get an additional wheel well clearance of 7cm! This will allow us to fit in 35” tyres safely without any rubbing at full flex and without needing a lift on the stock Rubicon suspension!
Luckily, you don’t have to search high and low for the Mopar High Top Fender Flares take offs from a US Rubicon as Mopar sells a set of this fenders complete with the DRL and signal lights for us to swap it out, part number 82215743AC.
