Jeep JL Wrangler 2.5" Lift Kit How to Installation - EVO Stage 4 Boost w/Control Arms : JL JOURNAL

Come visit us at: WAYALIFE.com and JLWRANGLER.com
Buy the EVO Lift Kit here: amzn.to/2JjGglL
Jeep parts purchased through this Amazon link will help support this channel and at no cost to you: www.amazon.com/shop/wayalife
The easiest way to get your Jeep JL Wrangler running on a set of 35" tires or 37" tires on a Rubicon, is to install a small 2.5" lift much like the kind that EVO Manufacturing makes. In addition to coming with 2.5" coil spacers, the EVO Stage 4 Boost Kit also comes with bump stop extensions, shock relocation brackets, a new pair of rear sway bar links and front brake line extension brackets. Depending on what your needs are, optional overland control arm drop brackets are available, as are replacement heavy duty adjustable control arms for those of you who intend to run taller lift coils and/or shocks in the future. In this 'HOW TO' episode of the JL JOURNAL, we'll show you just how easy it is to install the EVO lift, with a set of their adjustable control arms and with just a basic set of tools. Of course, the instructions in this video could easily help you install any lift of this size and/or type, including ones made by Mopar, Rubicon Express, Rough Country and the like. We hope you enjoy the video and find the information in it to be useful.

What an undertaking. Great job. I have a feeling putting the video together took a lot more time than the install. Great video capturing all the different angles and capturing everything you're describing. Can't imagine editing process and putting all the clips together. Well done and great job to the one handling the camera.

What a difference 2.5" makes! (that's what she said!) That thing looks like a beat now. Great wheel choice, too. Also, great install video! A lot of times I find these boring to watch, or lacking information. Yours was just right, informative enough to get the whole scope of the job without feeling dragged out. Good tips on using the duct tape to hold the nut to the wrench, and turning the steering wheel to align the track bar. I've used both in the past when working on my old ZJ. Also, if tape isn't handy, grease will work, and even I've even used a piece of gum, haha. Only thing I would really do differently is put anti-seize on EVERY SINGLE BOLT that I removed/replaced. Maybe not so important where you live, but in New England where I am it could mean the difference between getting the bolt out trouble free next time, or breaking it. I use that stuff on EVERYTHING.

Wayalife oh I know about the write ups. I've used a few of them. I'm a forum member. Just that I would like the option for videos as well.

As always, excellent video!! Passenger side upper control arm flag nut could possibly be easier to align, if you mark it with a sharpie before removing to get the alignment just right. Maybe...

You make it look so easy and quick too. Somehow I don’t think it would go as smoothly on my 7 year old JK. Great video though.

It’s all in the hands of the master. And you my friend, are a master at four wheeling! P.S. I’ve always thought you sound like Warren Miller. I think that’s another reason why I love your videos. Haha keep them coming bro!

Awesome content. It looked as though some areas may be better to place the Zerc fittings down. New subscriber here. I'm itching for a jeep and still a die hard Toyota fan. Builds like this might make me pull the trigger on at least a jk. Keep up the awesome vids.

LOL!! Well sure, it'd make it easier to grease but it'd also make it easier for rocks to knock them right off too. The ONLY zerk that's near impossible to get to point up is the front lower arm at the axle mount and there are ways to deal with that. ALL the others can be reached.

The best part about putting in a new lift is finding out you cant back out of the garage because your to tall lol. Happened to me on a 4.5" lift. I had to air down and roll out with flat tires.

Excellent video, very well documented. Eddie an you please give us another overall height measurement now that the 37’s and 2.5” lift is on please. Want to see if this setup will fit in my garage. Thanks.

I had just noted, to the top of the windshield, we measure about 75". To the highest point on the hard top, more like 77". A soft top would have a higher point.
