    for people wanting to attempt their own cut and folds... going over the rears with a heatgun before hammering will help stop the paint from chipping

    If you sand the paint away prior to bending the metal in your pie cuts on the rear fender, it won't crack.

    I put 33x12.50 on my XJ with the same fender trimming and 1.75" spacer and aal. I swapped some suspension and went to 3" lift and I can easily run 35s. May have some extra clearance since I'm using aftermarket control arms and the front axle is pushed forward almost an inch. Nice video!!!!

    I know this video is old, but I just noticed your front wheel is counter balanced. Wheel weights need to be in only one location. I highly recommend taking it somewhere (that actually knows what they're doing, and doesn't counter balance) and have them rebalance it.

  • @AdmiralOffRoad

    @AdmiralOffRoad

    5 жыл бұрын

    The rear is a Chrysler 8.25 and the front is a High Pinion Dana 30. It came with a low pinion front. The high pinion dana 30 wasnt a huge upgrade but I was able to regear the high pinion dana 30 while I was still driving on the low pinion one and then just swap it in. It was my daily driver at the time so I couldn't afford to not be able to drive it while regearing. So to answer your question, the rear is the stock axle, just regeared to 4.88 and the front axle is out of a 99 XJ, again, regeared to 4.88

    its not too bad. just a tiny bit more trimming on the back side should take care of it

    Why did u roll the back fender but cut the front ones off??

  • @AdmiralOffRoad

    @AdmiralOffRoad

    the rear needs to be rolled because of the inner and outer fender spot welds. The front fenders don't have this issue so they can just be cut which is much faster and easier.
