If Flowmaster intake is as bad as the chokemaster exhaust, I wouldn't touch it with a 10 ft pole.

@@RatchetWrenches I'm sorry to hear the gas mileage was no better. I have a 2014 Cherokee trail hawk. On a good day my gas mileage in the city is 16/ hgwy 22/23 I love you trailhawk don't get me wrong. I really wish when they made these , the gas consumption was better. Being a 4x4 too many moving parts I think. And don't add to much weight with accessories, weight is the enemy. I only have a roof / cargo rack on and lights.

Did you need to reset any Check Engine light as the MAF sensor may go off?

i dont know shit but growing up, i thought these were called short ram intakes. cold air intakes pipe down to the front of the car getting fresh air from the front grill or no?

According to their website it's a Cold Air Intake so for video purposes we labeled it as that but yes generally engine bay mounted intakes are short ram intakes. Cold air intakes are generally mounted in the fender well area.

It's already has a built-in cold air supply. If you notice the hole at the bottom of where the stock intake box is, that goes down to a tube into the lower front fender area to draw cold air. The new filter setup helps by losing the Restriction of the resonator box attached to the throttle body. But it is still able to be supplied cool air to the filter through that opening at the bottom of its enclosure.

It’s been a few years, did you notice the mpg get better at all?

Ended up selling the car not too long after this video. Didn't notice much MPG improvement

Infuriating these aren't offered by FM for 2019+ models. So far all the intakes available for 2019+ TH seem to be not worth the $.

I had a cold air intake on my Dodge 3500 with 1,000,000 mile fiter, and a pre filter, no power gain, matter of fact it lost power, and the million mile filter was replaced twice, finally when I couldn't pull my boat up a long grade, I changed back to stock and the $12 filters, truck runs perfect now, don't do this BS to any vehicle

It truly depends on the vehicle. On my gti it gained a good amount of power from the intake, on this particular jeep it’s not going to create much power gains if any but it’ll help the engine breathe a lot cooler since it has less restriction. It truly depends on the platform for performance gains
