What about the Liberty's???
Awesome visuals & cool music... but why were so many models excluded? In my opinion, there are better models to be showcased than JUST the new Cherokee or Renegade. What about the Commander or Liberty, or others? The "side models" (as you seem to be regarding them) are just as great as the "main" ones.

I think it's because they no longer make the Commander or Liberty. I think they were just showcasing vehicles with a history that are currently made. And while the Compass and Patriot have been around longer than the Renegade, I guess they're less proud of those models.

In 2000, why didn’t they show the Jeep liberty
just reviewed this video, have owned jeeps since 1993. Have a loaded 75th Anniversary Unlimited. You haven't lived until you do a jamboree. Hope we all make it to the 100th. Keep waving !

Ok you missed the CJ-5 which was a big step and then you missed the introduction of the JKU which was a massive change for Jeep and money maker? Even though you missed the Commander which was your first 7 seater you still remembered the forward control, which all need to be made into today's Overlander answer to the Unimog!

Well not true technical anything not built by the original wills overland could be argued that is a real jeep. So history lesson this would include Kaiser, AMC, Dodge/chysler, Mercedes. So sorry to inform you jeep is the most whored brand in existence. And before you cry the solid axle bs keep in mind the 1st wagoneers were ifs. So sorry the new jeeps are keeping to traditional what ever that means

Oh and let not forget the involvement renault had with the original Cherokee. Without the French involvement the jeep brand would be dead much like fiats involvement today

+velocityrus yet you didn't say I was wrong. So for someone to complain about fiat is hilarious since jeep wouldn't be around it the French German and now the Italians didn't come to save the day. So people need to stop with the whining already.

Also, I would add that a lot of Jeeps before the Renegade and the new Cherokee were also labeled as not "real Jeeps" when they were first introduced. The YJ with it's square headlights, the TJ with it's coil spring suspension and the JK with its plastic grill and "minivan" V6. These were all popular criticisms of these vehicles during their inception. So I guess the Renegade and Cherokee are in good company. You're not a "real Jeep" unless someone claims you're not a "real Jeep".

First: I am writing on behalf a purchase that i made back in 2014. I currently live in sabaneta colombia and I've been having issues with my vehicle. I purchased a Jeep Wrangler unlimited sport AT, gray, 2014 model with a vin number 1C4BJWDG4EL255739 for the amount of $113,000,090 COP which is around 36,581.44 USD at the dealership "Los Coches" located at Carrera 43° N 30-74 in the city of medellin, colombia. Second: On November 13 of 2014 my vehicle started showing a filtration of water on the left side of both front doors. Once i noted this defect knowing the warranty was still active, I immediately bring the car to be diagnosed and have this issue fixed. Third: Due to the lack of inaccuracy and lack of performance from the dealership "Los coches" I not only have the filtration from the front doors but ALSO from the roof. I then decide to bring my car to be fixed at "Discaribe S.A.S" hoping for somebody to fix this defect and finalize this hassel. Fourth: Once they do an inspection at the shop "Discaribe S.A.S" and they "fix" the defect from both doors and the roof, up to today i've been at a shop 6 times for the same issue. I had the car revised on December 23rd 2014, May 13th 2015, August 18th 2015, January 4th 2016, May 16th 2016, and the most recent one May 11th 2016. Fifth: Due to the persistency of the same fault for over a year and a half, it has generated extensive damage not only to the vehicle itself but it also takes big part on the expenses because my business depends largely on the work done with this vehicle.

mate , Colombian dealers do not solve the problem, and Chrysler of USA not respond by latin america.

If Jeep dont get back to basics and simplicity the brand is finished. In the past people bought these cars because they wanted an offroad vehicle. Thats all Jeep should have been and nothing more or nothing less.
