When Bode asked about a mission Cal and the Mantis crew went on in the first mission. I got suspicious. then through the story, Bode redeemed himself in my eyes…AND THEN HE BETRAYED CAL. I WAS SO MAD

I don’t think I’m alone when I say Cal Kestis is my favorite Jedi, of all time. Used to be Obi Wan, love Yoda. But I genuinely think it’s Cal now. Respawn’s writers and game devs have truly done something special with these two games

If they've started the early stages and takes the exact same amount of time to complete it, October 16th 2026 would be the release date. Just under a month from the 7th anniversary of Fallen Order's release. I've heard whispers that next-gen consoles are planned for 2028 (excluding Nintendo) but take that with a grain of salt, I haven't seen the source myself.

​@@jecrex8349 the 2028 was just an estimate made by Xbox, I believe it could take longer due to the new game engines use of AI which lower the expecs needed for better graphics. Still, I do suspect pro versions of both consoles are coming in the next 2 or 3 years, people want those 60 fps.

I wish Cal was the protagonist the Sequel trilogy needed.

It’s far too rich of a fictional universe for talented writers to not be able to create new characters and stories that even rival those of the original trilogies. Fallen Order, Survivor, and Rogue One too are right up there with the original 6 movies, easily

Andor and Jedi Survivor are just amazing. The only Star Wars content I have really enjoyed in the last few years, and they are head and shoulders above the rest. Andor in particular with its sophistication

I absolutely adore this game! I loved the first game, played through it 4 times and this game was just the first game dialled up to 12. From some interviews with the devs I got the impression that they wanted to incorporate some of the additional aspects into the first game i.e. dual wield, enhanced customisation etc. I had very few complaints with the first game but they were all solved here and some things solved that I didn't even know needed solving. Really looking forward to your thoughts on Andor. One of the best written shows I've seen since early GoT.

The Cal Kestis saga is what Rebels could've been had we focused on Canan rather than Ezra

I think that, ever since the disaster of Kenobi and disappointment of Boba Fett, Star Wars has really been on the up. Everything canon except for Mando S3 that has released has been great. Andor, Tales, Bad Batch S2, and most recently Survivor have all surpassed expectations in spectacular fasion, and with new seasons of all three of those shows, the third Jedi game, and the Ahsoka show on the way I'm cautiously optimistic about the future.

I completely agree. And none of them were Mandoverse. Mando S3 broke the streak, but with all the buildup around Ahoska, if it sucks it will feel like the streak is truly broken... I want it to be good. I really do

Honestly, I haven't been THAT excited about Star Wars in a while. The story of Survivor has made me go rewatch the Clone Wars series and dive back into extended lore. The absolutely MUST include Cal into live action somehow cause a lot more people should know about his story!

after playing through this game 3 separate times, once on Grandmaster, I can say with confidence that this game belongs in my top 3. IT perfectly captures the exploration and adventure genre of the original movies while not shying away from very well written darker tones. The gameplay is absolutely amazing as well. This game blew me away

Easily the best Star Wars game and Cal is one of the best SW characters to me now

Fun fact: Rick the Radar Technichian lost to Cal because he was worn out from fighting both Palpatine and Vader at once and winning

I was also extremely against the Blaster Stance at first, it is SO mf uncivilized...but i grew to love it. If for nothing else, being able to fence like Dooku is sooooo satisfying.

i think theres so much to explore and do its defo worth it. plus i haven't even gone through on new game plus yet!

i actually enjoyed the plot of fallen order quite a bit more than survivor. I enjoyed the gameplay of survivor WAY more but i didnt rly care about the plot of this game while fallen order felt more focused and personal with a rly good central villain. The only point where i was truly invested was right at the end when we went to nova garon and we were actually sorta fighting the empire again even if it was incidental

I am in love with the Jedi games, except when Survivor made me break my TV, but oooo what a blast they are. Might have to do a lore run of both again. I love the Jedi games for their story and I loved Battlefront 2 (yes, the new one) for that epic multiplayer feel. Also to note, the blaster stance is my favourite, I love the elegant poise and the gun is just tasty to customise and use. Sorry I think.

A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one!

Agree with a lot of what you said, throughly enjoyed survivor and excited for part 3, my only gripe with the story is that I felt like Bode’s motivation to turn on Cal is a little glossed over, not that I think it isn’t there but that i would have loved more of a confrontation between them than we got, it doesn’t ruin it for me it’s very much a asking for the cherry on top of the sundae thing

Jedi survivor is far from the best Star Wars game for me bc it is the best single player game I’ve ever played

I also agree with the long hair and clean shaven Cal, mainly because I don't envision cal with facial hair ever since Fallen Order. It's my favorite look for him.

Idk how, but I saw the Bode twist coming from the get go… BUT I still enjoyed it. The part I didn’t expect was the lightsaber and that he was actually telling the truth, so I enjoyed it a lot more

I genuinely think Cere Junda is the same concept TLJ tried pulling except in a more nuanced and palatable way

If you enjoyed this game I highly recommend knights of the old republic 1 & 2. Both games are absolute masterpieces in story telling combat is more subjective but story in great, I'd be interested to see what you think about them.

Jedi: Survivor is the first game I platinumed since Spider-Man PS4. Superb game despite the bugs

I honestly believe that this game deserves GOTY more than Zelda does. It’s a shoe-in in my book especially if Spider-Man doesn’t get nominated.

Not better than KOTOR 2, but it is pretty good.

Same. Was a great twist in the story and really satisfying on an emotional level

I personally prefer Fallen order's story for one specific reason: Trilla is a perfect Star wars villain, she's threatening, she's sympathetic, she's smart, she's complex, and she's always present in the back of the player's mind. Seeing her unwravel by the end is both cathartic and tragic. By comparrison Dagan is boring and Bode can't be as great of a villain because the whole point is that he isn't a real villain. Plus Bode looks so goofy, could he not at least get a shirt that fits him? If Cal can find dozens of outfits all around, why can't Bode get a proper shirt?

im hoping jedi 3 takes less long then survivor did. because there was the pandemic to work with for about half of the time between fallen order and survivor.

Just commenting to say I loved Super Bombad Racing. 10/10

I don’t think any Star Wars game except a proper sequel will live up to Empire at War. The Kyle Katarn games are also a series of brilliant shooters that feel almost lost to time with the lack of discussion about them. I hope to see Kyle again in the Disney canon soon.

While I was invested in the new trilogy and to this day love some aspects about it, these films never had that little touch of magic. Even episode eight which I love. It's just different. The Survivor's story though... Idk how but they've managed to capture the unique spirit that an og trilogy and projects like Clone Wars have. And I'm beyond happy it does!

This game should have been the real SW movie. SW 7/8/9 is even more gargabe after Jedi Survivor.

@@FullFatVideos it's quite hard to answer because I REALLY wanted to love it you know, I think it was the fact that it was so animation-driven as opposed to something like God of War which is very input driven, it made it feel like it had a very low skill-ceiling and it just made it frustrating to me, I'm also someone who likes to play games on higher difficulties but in this case maybe I should have just accepted that this combat wasn't for me, lowered the difficulty and just focused on the other parts of the game :/

Girlfriend Reviews put it great in their Fallen Order review: Star Wars as a franchise is better suited for video games than movies

Hot Take: Not even close. Very fun game, if a short one. Thankfully I didn't have the game-breaking bugs & crashes a lot of folks did at launch. But while definitely up there in terms of quality star wars games in the last several years. It has a long way to approach some of the games from the 'golden age of star wars games'.. which ran from 95'-05' or so, during the heyday of Lucasarts. I'm not sure you're old enough to have played a lot of them. I'm talking Dark Forces 1 & 2, Jedi Knight 1 & 2, Kotor 1 & 2, Battlefront II (2005), Republic Commando, Shadows of the Empire (a N64 game of all things), Tie Fighter vs. X-Wing, Starfighter 2, hell even Episode 1: Pod Racer lol.

I really wish that I share your enthusiasm for Jedi Survivor. But part 2 is really weak compared to part 1 for me. A lot of the plot and motivations didn't make sense, spending so much time on this planet that you "crash landed" onto, catching fish and planting seeds with the Empire on your back was just weird, and all the villain up to the point of betrayal were a bit lack luster, mainly because the whole idea of this isolated planet was unconvincing. Especially back in the days when the galaxy was at peace, there was no reason why this one planet above all others should be such an awesome Jedi training ground that Dagan would fight so hard for. Now in current time, you're recruiting people to join a pub, planting seeds and treating this little planet like home, while the plot of the story is about finding a new planet that you will call home just felt weirdly conflicting. Gameplay wise the game is truly enjoyable. I honestly wish I enjoy the characters and dialog more. The game was so good at the point of betrayal, too bad it happened so late in the game. I wish that was the mid point of the game.

I really love almost everything about this game but I really disagree I think that the story of this game is not as good as the old everything about bode is kind of forced I even think dagan was a better villan even if he was one noted

Greatest game i ever played, probably also one of the buggiest but that being said, Cyberpunk is my #2 so it didnt ruin the experience

These Star Wars games are just as good as god of war or spiderman ps4

Spoilers but this game is booty cheeks You can't have Vader be your final boss in the first game just to use them again that's cheap. All the characters seem to be weird and the ending wow that was bad, they are called endings not a third shill game. The story had the potential to hold really good tension the fact that Vader doesn't kill Kal and he conveniently walks away when cow shows up bs.

Cal only gets there after Cere's been dead for a while dude. The entire Cere sequence is a force echo, so no, Vader didn't conveniently let Cal walk away, Vader was long gone by the time Cal gets there. It's not a plot hole, you're just not interpreting the moment as intended. Notice how environment in the cutscene quickly goes from being on fire to not.

@@hawkins347 thanks for the context I guess that kind of helps. But it's another Jedi game after order 66. We're somehow Vader didn't kill the rest of the Jedi and his inquisitors do nothing. Kal's story seems like they are dragging it out for mone and not good story telling. Saw the ending it was rushed dumb at times and it's a little silly.

WRONG! Rise of Skywalker was a great film. You clearly don't understand Palpatine, no one does. That quote " Palpatine has returned somehow" It's perfect from a guy like Poe who knows nothing of the Force. Read into it too much
