I was saying this the other night to my buddy after beating this game. A remaster of the force unleashed with this kind of gameplay would be amazing. Only thing they need to do is keep abilities the same because thrashing the trash mobs is what made the force unleashed super fun lol.

I'm 10 hours into this game and just wanted to reassure people that this game is NOT as easy as this video makes it look. Just remember, the player has unlocked every ability (in this video) and is clearly a very good player.

foop sky He means the damage you can see 🙈 As in the ground has traces of the lightsaber whereas storm troopers show almost no visible damage. People are mad dissapointed you can’t dismember them with the lightsaber. Otherwise great game though, although i wish there were a little more bossfights and some form of new game+ or end game but oh well 🤷🏻‍♂️ Still one of the best star wars games to date

@@Lkatdude the thing is, it wasmt even Disney that brought the hammer down over there being dismembering, Respawn wanted it to be more powerful to have it happen during specific moments in the story. Which is pretty much how its been with StarWars in the realm of film, we only see people getting dismembered in powerful character defining moments. Most of the time we dont see people getting chopped up, mostly droids and aliens, which Respawn did brilliantly with the game. Side note we do actually get some dismemberments on human/humanoid enemies in game, kore specifically bounty hunters and the Undead (technically not living but still there) when executing parries.

I love how even when your maxed out, you still have to put effort into combat, showing that it’s still skill based. I love this game.

I like a good challenging game and this is probably in my top 5 most difficult. I also like how there’s almost no tutorial and doesn’t treat you like a 40 year old who has never touched a game before...

There were a lot of sloppy parts actually. Doing a riposte makes most enemies die faily quickly without the need for the flashy attacks, and that gunner at the end? Perfectly deflect the first shot and you barrage the hail of lasers into his face, zero Force required.

On jedi knight difficulty you take way more damage. Master and grand master would probably have you die VERY easily and is probably the closest you will get to dark souls.

I’m glad you can still use the saberstaff as a regular lightsaber. I was worried that it’d get rid of the single saber combat. And you can do some flourishes with dual sabers, nice!

Finally a good star wars game! Is it better than Outcast or Academy? Yes, in some aspects. Exploration is fun and rewarding, levels are beautiful and enemies are challenging (playing on Hard for my first playtrough). Combat and force powers were honestly better in Outcast and Academy but its not all that bad in Order. People act that there were combos in the old games. Nope, it was pretty much the same. Attack with one button, throw saber with other. No manual blocking (that happened automatically), no counters. But the whole array of Force powers in your disposal was amazing and you could really experiment with them. Force run to rush enemy positions, roll, stab, turn to the other bad guy, force push, finish him on the ground, turn to other two left standing and electrocute them. It felt amazing. Too bad Fallen Order is lacking in this department. But still, this is one of the better SW games we got in the past few years and certainly one of the best games I've played this year.

@Paul Pugh What has engine to do with it? Outcast and Academy were both primarily melee based games (never enjoyed shooting in those games) and i feel Fallen Order is a lot deeper in terms of saber combat but not so much in Force powers department.

There's different ways to use one saber, saber staff, and dual-wielding sabers and of course the three has their own movesets too. How can you say that this game is deeper in terms of saber combat when all you have in this are three point combos?

What difficulty are you playing on? I'm playing on Jedi Master.

When a Jedi Master fought like a Sith Lord.

This is the lowest difficulty level, you can see at the end how much injuries he receives. ( 2:45 ). I played " JEDI MASTER " difficulty level and the injuries received were much greater and several opponents attacked at the same time. This IS A STORY MODE and everyone can play like that.

Ethan Tan I wish they would’ve done multi choice for fallen order... could’ve become and inquisitor early on and hunted Jedi or targets & rebels, or been a Jedi and fought them. I still think that in the end though (SPOILERS) cal should’ve been killed.

What difficulty is this? It's not Jedi grand master because the commander scout doesnt do that long unblockable

How does call move by taking side steps?

Honestly though... does it just feel like “spam dodge, spam roll, spam attack buttons, hold down block??!?”

COGconnected Hey mate, thanks for the reply. Your gameplay looks good. I’m so torn with this one. Loved TOR back in the day, not skilled enough or masochistic enough for souls games. Loved the Witcher but the combat lacked. Got into ESO for a while. I’ve tried a bunch of games lately and all of them lack immersion.

Sam Black I feel you! The good news is there are multiple difficulty options. I played on normal and found it significantly less challenging than an average souls game. If you like games like uncharted and tomb raider, those elements are present as well. -Garrett

You gotta learn to use the attack moves when switching single and dual lightsabers as well. That can make impressive combos

It's not viking, it's actually mongolian. Song called black thunder by the band "The Hu"

Force Slow/Freeze is really slept on in this game from what I can see. It's pretty much a guaranteed hit or combo every time you use it without any consequences.

I know that this game is about Jedi and the force but cmon 0:13 that move is clearly from God of War lmaoo

Not really, you can only use dual sabers for a special attack, not wielding it all the way

what difficulty setting was this? at 2:12 like... the other dude was just standing there watching you. The aggressiveness was very low as well as you didn't take that much damage when you did get hit. I know that the difficulty setting in this game effects enemies aggressiveness/assertiveness as well as damage. the video, not description make clear of what difficulty setting this was on.

It's on Story difficulty, the title means it's Max Level character

After watching this, I realize how badly I suck at this game.
