Jecheon Trip - Cable car, Cold Noodles, and a Market Visit 제천 청품호케이블카

Bike was in the shop, so I took the van on a little weekend trip to Jecheon, South Korea. I checked out the Cheongpung Cable Car up to Bibong Mountain, and did a little walk around the city of Jecheon.

Enjoyed the video. Been here the last few months. Uirimji reservoir is the nicest place in Jecheon and they've just built a path called Sammane Chorokgil that takes you there. Plenty of great restaurants for Korean food if you know where to go.

Sorry mom my elbows are on the table 😆 you really made me laugh out loud.😂 Btw, Bibim means not spicy. Bibim means sort of mixing. The verb is 비비다. So 비빔밥, 비빔냉면 you mix them around before you eat. But the interesting thing is you picked that up with the spicy thing. That’s pretty interesting to me as a Korean. I’ve never thought Bibim is related to spicy sauce but now I can see they’re all with Gochujang that’s why you’d say Bibim means with spicy sauce.

I haven't watched a full baseball game in years. I was in Toronto in 1992 when the jays won their first world series. That was a crazy night in the city. I started losing interest in sports a couple years later when there was a players strike both in MLB and NHL. Haven't really followed any sports since with the exception of UFC. However, if the jays ever make it to the world series again, I'll be watching! :)

Cass is actually one of my least favorite Korean beers. In the past few years, there’s been a bunch more released. Every once in a while, I get a cass for nostalgia sake. It was the beer I drank the first few years in Korea. It’s still often the only beer on tap at a lot of restaurants though.

  • @DanDoesKorea

It's kind of like an unwritten, unofficial law. Everybody wears the mask. People just accept it here. However, you MUST wear it on public transportation and when shopping. You won't be allowed in without it.
