Jeanne Carmen’s life, even without mentioning Monroe, is a wild story in itself. -- discovered a knack for golf during a sports-clothing photo shoot, parlayed that talent into a traveling trick-shot act, wound up starring in dozens of ultra-low-budget B movies. While in Hollywood Carmen appears to have lived the life of a starlet, like Marilyn had ten years before. She faded off into obscurity. But then, we come to the scheme, in the early 1980s, to use her accounts to corroborate gossip about Monroe’s supposed affairs with John and Bobby Kennedy. Carmen’s accounts were fabulous. Fanciful tales of mobsters, murder, and mayhem. Marilyn's long lost female best friend. Note that If Bobby was at Marilyn's home half as much as Carmen says he was he was basically living there.

bobby Kennedy was the one who got Marilyn killed. I don't think john Kennedy had anything to do with it even tho he abused her. with all said and done Marilyn with all her radiance she was surrounded by darkness, she said everyone wants Marilyn Monroe but no one wants norma jean. May she rest in peace she will always be remembered and loved. I do believe if she didn't get involved in the Kennedys she would have lived a long life. you could also say the Kennedys never got away with it, in the end, being assassinated was an eye for an eye in some people's minds

Funny, Jeanne Carmen first says that she didn't do drugs, then 17 minutes into the interview admits that she and MM were addicted to sleeping pills, lol. I believe what Skip E. said (in another show) about Peter Lawford being gay; he always projected a fey-vibe. A documentary about him mentioned that his mother wanted a girl and showed a photo of little Peter dressed in a pinafore.

When she told him that she couldn’t stop taking them he told her not to quit all at once-that it could kill her. Yeah, people didn’t take “drugs” just prescriptions.

Marilyn was good at creating Marilyn Monroe. However, she became imprisoned by her creation. Other actors "wink" or let the audience know they are not the role, but Marilyn became the role because she had not fully developed herself before inhabiting her roles. This similar issue occurs with child actors, which is one key reason why so few child actors become successful adult actors.

But let's face it, if this guy ever had a chance to really be with this sweet lady, he wouldn't know the first thing to do to really make this lady go wild. She needs a real man to bring our her wild side. That's why she liked Sinatra. Frank knew how to really treat a lady, no question about it. I can read between the lines on this one. I'm glad she had great memories back in the day. She seems so sweet and a very beautiful lady.

She was quite beautiful for her age, but I believe she was a bit of a con artist, wearing shades in almost all her interviews, looked liked she was even on something like pills or something to help her "cope with her "lies" about being MM's best friend. Monroe never liked or trusted women at all, but trusted men a lot, and leaned on them for emotional security. Still, these interviews with Carmen still interest me. She seemed like a very caring, good compassionate woman. RIP Carmen. ❤Who wouldn't want to be MM's bf?

Its just the way that Jeanne says there was nothing Marilyn could have overdosed on apart from sleeping pills, that doesn’t seem right. There is a picture of Marilyn’s dressing table which shows a lot of different prescriptions including nembutal, so she did have pills apart from sleeping pills.

She was the Queen of B movies. She was a friend of Marilyn Tony Curtis said so. Why are people who don’t have the slightest idea commenting? I turned 5 the end of 1950. My Mom was married to a mobster and I was raised by strong women of the time. What you say about sleeping pills is true. Most of the comments don’t have the intelligence to understand most of Hollywood is interjecting your self into a story. I guess most people don’t have interactions with others and any book on lying will tell you in the first three minutes a person lies 3 times. Ever heard of movie magazine mentality?

Jean Dixson, people have questioned her because she had zero proof that she had ever been friends with Marilyn. Amazing how she supposedly had a long friendship with MM yet there isn't one photo of them together. Tony Curtis is not believable because he spent his last decade making up stories about him and MM. To be associated with Marilyn is to garner attention for the person making the claims. TC was as bad as JC because he couldn't stand Marilyn and never said anything nice about her until he had books to sell then Marilyn was his lover and he adored her. Poor Marilyn was used by people during her life and people have continued to exploit her long afterward.
