She owned this interview. I loved following her deep thoughts about mental focus, physical training, and heart in sports. Loved it.

The interviewer had the easiest job. Ask half a question and let the magic happen. What a great answer! 🕷 👏

@@geebee380 wow I commented on this 11 years ago and I’m watching this again. I forgot all about it but what she says still rings true. I’ve been training in boxing this whole, probably since I commented on this. But I only started actually sparring against people 3 years ago. All the knowledge of boxing tactics helps me adapt but actually putting it into practice is completely different, let alone the conditioning needed to even perform in front of others.

@Yoshirafiki GL with your boxing🥊 check out Jeanette's 30 for 30 on espn if you haven't already. If you're anything like her, you're training right now. She said if she missed a shot in a tournament she would go home and shoot that shot 400 times! There's a healthy obsession with the great ones. It's what enables them to do the things they do with all that pressure.

@@geebee380 Yes, after every sparring session i let it replay in my head dozens of times until I come up with a way to counter what I couldn’t defend against. I practice combos and footwork over and over again until it becomes natural in the ring. I’ll definitely check her out more now 👍🏽

She's a great speaker. I 100 percent agree that it's the body unable to complete your thought. Most people are perfectly intelligent enough to be a top sportsmen but haven't got the body for it.
