Eremika is beautiful but tragic and my girl needs love. This is why I like her better with Jean. I feel like it'd last longer and have less tears.

@@yourmanz9370 he didn't wait for Eren to die. Eren was his friend too. He didn't even want to kill Eren or stop the rumbling in the first place. Actually he's the only one who didn't want to. Him having feelings for Mikasa is just shown as a dumb crush in the beginning of the show which most 15 year olds do. Also, no where is it confirmed that he married Mikasa. And even if he did, there's nothing wrong with that. It's Mikasa's decision if she wants to move on.

they way they exchange looks in season 4 says a lot about their relationship, only very close friends can look at each other this way. There is a lot of emotion in Jean's and Mikasa's eyes. When Connie blamed Eren Mikasa's first instinct was to look at Jean and his eyes were filled with regret for her, because he knows how she feels about Eren yet it pains him that she will suffer from what Eren is doing. And all other scenes like in Egerists rebellion and after then Hange and Mikasa came for him at night...man his looks say it all. Jean is very well written character. I enjoyed this interactions between them, gives more depth to the story. Thank you Mappa

Also the scene when jean is standing with floch and the jaegarists and Mikasa looks into his eyes with a disappointed face. ...and then jean is not able to sleep at night knowing that he disappointed her and joined Mikasa and Armin eventually. This clearly shows that both of them had developed a close enough connection to each other.

Exacly. Jean and Mikasa was like katara and Aang from the Avatar last airbender. Starting with a strong friendship and trust eachother more than anybody else, being there for eachother when the one is sad. İn season 4 they even complete eachothers words. Jean is such a great character. At first you would think that he would become a jerk and a bully. I also thought that he would harass mikasa because he felt rejected. But he showed such a human way of growth that anybody can relate to. He is respectable, is funny, gives people space, smart and shows courage even feeling scared. I actually also liked the dynamic between jean and eren. They gave sibling energy. So sad it had to turn out this way. But if mikasa is going to end up with him (which i think its also a good match), then i hope he gets the emotional devotion that he deserves.

I just don't like the idea of Jean and Mikasa ending up together, more because of Jean than Mikasa or Eren. It just doesn't seem fair to him. It's obvious Mikasa will never move on from Eren (even moreso now with anime ending), so to have Jean end up with Mikasa would just be incredibly emasculating. Imagine being married and knowing for the rest of your life your wife will never love you the way she did Eren. It just wouldn't work.

Also it's heavily implied that Mikasa died a virgin with her shown being buried atop a bed of white roses, which symbolizes purity. JeanKasa would work if Mikasa was ever able to move on from Eren, but Isayama makes it pretty clear that isn't possible.

@@zkdlynn3436 I feel like people who say this miss what Isayama was trying to express with Eren and Mikasa's relationship. When you have two people who have known each other for so long and were basically as close as siblings, it's really hard to ever express those feelings especially if they are romantic. Obviously with Mikasa being much more mature, she is able to express her feelings for Eren in a more mature way. But Eren is still very childish in season 1 and 2. To me, this is why he always fought back so hard when she tried to take care of him. Because Eren thought that Mikasa's feelings towards him were that of a mother or big sister, and his feelings for her were beyond that. He just didn't know how to express them properly. Then, the more time they spend with each other without confessing their feelings, the both of them become less sure that the other feels the same way. Which is why Mikasa wasn't able to confess to Eren when he asks "what am I to you?". Because she is so terrified of her confessing and him not reciprocating.

His love for her it’s very pure and genuine, that’s one thing no one can argue about. When Armin said that Eren had hurt Mikasa and Mikasa told him to shake it off but Jean insisted on knowing how exactly he had hurt her was so sweet. And his character development >> I think he also understands Eren pretty well on S4. But anyways, he truly cares for her 🥹

Jean is one of those characters you don't initially like but will slowly really warm up to, I wish they gave him a bit more stuff to do in the series. Even Sasha and Conny had their little subplots, but poor Jean is always just showed to the side.

There's one OVA about Jean "A Sudden Visitor: The torturous curse of Adolescence" it gives some background on Jean.

Jean = best character development

I honestly like that this never really becomes a plot point in the show. It’s just always going on in the background, never taking up unnecessary amounts of time, pretty realistic. In a setting like this, any kind of love triangle drama would seem pretty out of place and kind of frustrating, so it’s nice to see that even if Jean’s love is unrequited, it doesn’t dominate his personality like it might in other anime, and it doesn’t get in the way of him developing as a character in other ways. It’s also nice how just because Mikasa isn’t in love with Jean, she still considers him a friend and doesn’t ever treat him coldly

SPOILER!!!!! I think both Mikasa and Eren deserved to be with each other. But for this circumstances after Erens death, i think Mikasa being with Jean feels peaceful to me. Bcs Jean always knew about Mikasa s love for Eren and he never abused it. He always respected it. And he also witnessed everything that happened. I feel like he would always take care of Mikasa and one day Mikasa might even start loving him. (Even though i don’t think she will ever forget Eren). Jean is both close to Eren and Mikasa, i never felt like him being with Mikasa would be a betrayal. I feel like Eren would want Mikasa to be happy at some point. Idk their dynamic always felt cute and safe to me. 🥺🥺🥺

1:00 the man's dead inside lmao 😂 Seems like he heard Mikasa talk about cutting her hair. Btw I love Jean so much! He's been one of my favorite characters in AoT overall. I loved his aggressive attitude and how he used to say pretty sensible things when he was angry. He was a good character because he would never hate anyone for no reason and he was just a little harsh but very pure from his heart. I loved him, Sasha and Connie's friendship so much as well. And I was glad he and the others had equally remarkable screentime in season 4. Plus, no hate or offense to Eremika shippers but I loved these two as much as them. If Eren is fated to die in AoT (which I'm not sure about) then I guess I'd love Jean and Mikasa together.

I’ve always liked how Jean cares, adores, loves and respects Mikasa. The moment I saw Jean blush seeing Mikasa, I shipped them that very moment. I’ve always liked Jean and I’m happy that he got together with Mikasa at the end.

Everything is just speculation, no confirmation. Even that is Jean it doesnt prove that they are married. Judging from Mikasa’s deep love for Eren, she would adopt children and live happily with them as a family till old age while staying loyal to Eren til the end. Moving on does not mean u have to get married to be happy. The ring’s meaning might be, “Mikasa can finally be married to Eren in afterlife”

@@abotanichannel5107 actually you can't compare height on the basis of 2d figure.In anime as well there are many inconsistency when it comes to height in one seen you can see floch height is slightly big then Armin but when floch gives shirt to eren at mountain then there height is almost equal Not to mention in the last episode eren tells Mikasa to forget and move on but Mikasa ties the scarf given by eren around her neck and she says sorry eren I can't forget you. It's an open ending and AOT is not some childish anime it's about love and sacrifice. If your imagination says Mikasa is married then it's so childish 😅 . Because eren sacrificed everything for his friends and now Mikasa some toxic girlfriend of his ready to marry another seems childish or she never married to anyone and remained with eren even after his death

in s4 jean looks like a reliable teammate and i don’t think i’ve ever seen him trying to impress mikasa in s4 or i’m stupid

He does, and don’t worry you’re right that his actions are not to impress Mikasa, he’s really grown up as a reliable leader (he’s a commanding officer in s4 btw). In S4 he definitely still loves her, but he also cares about her and his teammates even in difficult situations he’s facing, trying to see things from objective point of view.

Jean was obnoxious in season 1, but since season 2.. Then in season 3, I started liking his character's development. But Jean in season 4 (finale part) was the best--he kinda took the leadership in my opinion, and the most "normal" with rational logic among his peers. I was actually shipping him with Mikasa, don't blame me.. Jean is such a gentleman, and for once I wanna see him being happy with his dream girl. So when his dream about having a family with Mikasa was aired, I was practically screaming silently watching it. It wasn't real, but I really like that episode about Jean 😊

here’s the thing, why did isiyama make jean fall for mikasa throughout the anime like that? (the end when everyone was at the boat and were going to meet up with mikasa to see erens grave and jeans fixing his hair). at some point jean should have moved on but you can see he was willing to save eren for mikasa because he knew how important he was for her. Even mikasa knew jean liked her still. considering the ending which shows jean near mikasa holding a child, the “dream” he wanted, the drawing before he even met mikasa could have been foreshadowing that.

Is there any proof that it was Jean ?.... the scene didn't even focus on that part showing how little it matters in the overall story... she visited Eren all those years until her death and Eren and Mikasa were shown reunited after her death in afterlife as per the Final ED...whoever the husband was that was a BIg L for him

man people here are degrading eren for not loving mikasa as much she loves him. i guess u didnt watched the last ep. where he said i dont want to die , i want to live the rest of my life with mikasa ,. at the beginning he acts tough and says that he wants for mikasa to be happy and forget about him but then he breaks down and says that he doesnt want mikasa with any other man , he wants her to at least remember him for ten years . i dont know if u feel any pain in this but for me its the most painful thing in the whole anime . man knows he will die but still holds his childish desire to be with mikasa . man wants to act tough but cant help but break down thinking about it . u all people made eren look like lelouch which he is not .man still has feelings. although jean loves mikasa and mikasa also defienetly also knows that but eren and mikasa ere what we called a bond made in heaven

WHAT I didn’t even realize he was thinking about Mikasa when he was imagining a life with a family that’s CRAZY. All of this flew right over my head during the show.

No can beat eren ...in season 4 we saw that eren finds a false accusations by Zeke for acckermans...so that he can blame and gets her hate him..in order to break her feeling.. Eren knew he was going to die soon so he does all this to help mikasa hates him and starts a new life with some else...eren's love for her is on another lvl

i really wish that its jean her husband, after all, they've been through a lot together, were friends, and he does like her, yet he had one of the best development in the story.. all of them deserved happines of course, but mikasa even more, she just wanted to live a peaceful life with her loved ones since the beginning, but life was cruel to her, so, after all that mess, being with someone who can bring a little light to your life is amazing...
