Case information: At about 7:00 a.m. on May 28, 2014, Ngo Thi Thuy (born 1974, in Son Tay town, Hanoi) rode a motorbike from her home in Son Tay town to her lover's buffalo-keeping shack in Hoai Duc. with the purpose of killing Ms. Nguyen Thi Toan (born 1981, his lover's wife). When she arrived, seeing no one in the shack, Thuy poured the cyanide she brought into a glass of water. After releasing the buffalo into the field, Ms. Toan returned to the shack and drank a glass of water that Thuy had mixed with poison, so she was poisoned and fell to the ground and died on the spot.
