@@YetiVA okay so with acne scars you have three different types of treatments you can do: at home products, in office treatments and for more severe cases you can get different types of surgeries that remove the layer of damaged tissue (really a last resort kind of procedure). All of them also have different levels of efficacy. If you don’t have experience treating acne scars in the past or they’re newer off the shelf skincare products or something you’d look for. Next option is always seeing a dermatologist. They’ll see you for anything skin related. For off the shelf products though try to look for ones that contain AHAs (alpha-hydroxy acids- exfoliant), niacinamide (reduces appearance of scarring) and azeliac acid (helps decrease hyperpigmentation and post acne scarring.) A lot of people I’ve talked to have a lot of good things to say about azeliac acid so that’s a good place to start. For any deeper scars you can’t really do much with products. Micro needling or a chemical peel are also good options. Make sure to check with your health professional before doing procedures like that. I know this sounds really confusing and it’s a little difficult to compile it into a yt comment but the bottom line is sunscreen, a good moisturiser and exfoliants will help a lot in itself. Acne scarring varies wildly and a lot that I’ve mentioned might not even apply to you, it’s just general information. Again, it’s always recommended to speak with someone who knows more than I do on these topics :) I can help with recommendations for more specific products if you’d like (I live for this) but I’ll need your skin type and if you have any current concerns like sensitive skin ect. If not, I hope I helped :)

thanks! I went to a couple local dermatologists and they both just tried selling me some expensive ahh products that costed nearly a grand. that just put me off soooo bad. I haven't tried any of those products, so I'll look into them first before really considering any surgical treatments. I've got the basic wash, exfoliant and sunscreen down tho after some research on what products suit me the most🫡
