@@ikhlashasib8256 I doubt that. I have 2 of the Motion Booms and their great for the money. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on JBL, they make great speakers. I just think their Extreme and Charge line is way over priced. You can now get the JBL Partybox Encore for the same price of the Xtreme 3 and that will blow the Xtreme out of the water.

Great review, I've gotta go with the Motion Boom though. I'd had one for a while and been more than happy with the sound for such a cheap little speaker, however, I just invested in a second and WOW. I'm a bass head, The Prodigy, Nine Inch Nails and Faithless are just an example of my playlists, I HAD TO TURN THAT SHIT DOWN. Paired up the sound is immense and on a whole other level compared to the single speaker experience, and still half the price of one JBL. Look forward to your future videos.👍

Yes I will always tell people motion boom or Wking over the over price Xtreme 3. Unless you get it in a deal and JBL finally added a EQ in there app took long enough

I wonder if the soundcore motion boom compares closer to the the jbl charge 5? Seams you wouldn’t need to boost the eq up so much and lose sound quality. Still impressed a $100 speaker can be compared to a $350 one. Thanks for the review.

Sorry, I wouldn't trade my tube amp and 2 Harbeth bookshelf speakers for any bluetooth speaker brick out there. Most people never experience true hifi.

Always love Motion Boom's deeper bass, through there's more upper bass punch on the JBL, making it a different bass listen. Xtreme 3 is shy in the mids and have too much highs, it can be ear piercing. Motion Boom is more balanced for mids and highs if EQed properly, which make it my favorite listen. Xtreme 3 sound better for outside use Motion Boom sound better for indoor use

@user-kj8uh5wo7k i find the motion to have clearer sound. The boom more bass and better at high volume. The build on the motion is really nice and the handle on the boom is very helpful to carry it around. I havnt had to charge them yet from factory but ive used both for around 15hrs of proper music being played.

great video! i got the jbl expensive extremes. but the little cheap boom is hard to beat. light, cheap, and packs punch.

Good video bro, I’d have to go with soundcore though. That 9kHz or 12kHz (I forgot where they added the peak at) makes it sound very detailed and clear sometimes, but can sound too ear piercing at higher volumes, or make certain songs sound off at times. I know with the boom I can push it or tame it if need be at the least.

The Motion Boom cost around 1/4th of the JBL where I live.

I thought the eq settings you had set up on the motion boom didn't sound bad at all but for around a 3rd of the price you still can't go wrong with the boom :) I realize this video is almost a year old however this is the 1st time I'm seeing this so I wanted to leave a comment in the comment section :p

JBL seems to achieve the perception of clarity by pushing the mids and highs forward, which can actually be fatiguing over time and you have no way to tame this with EQ.

I think the Soundcore motion boom is a upgrade for sure. Plus if you use the Soundcore app you can EQ the sound to your liking with custom EQ

the JBL Extreme 3 is currently 299 Canadian ( 233 US ) on Amazon....I got the Charge 5 for 179 Canadian ( 140 US ) 3 weeks ago...i currently also have the Soundcore motion boom , the motion + , soundcore boost , soundcore 3...Marshall Stanmore 2 , Marshall Emberton.......looking to get JBL Extreme 3 , also wanting the Marshall Tufton and the Marshall Woburn 2....I am starting a collection of bluetooth speakers.....love them all for different reasons......cheers from Canada

In general the motion boom sounds better. more balanced sound. sound with more "body". xtreme 3 only has deep bass and lots of highs. it has an "empty" sound. 😞 I prefer the motion boom. i sold my xtreme 3

This depends on everyone's flavor of music. If price wasn't a factor I would go with Xtreme 3. But the motion boom just delivers more value with price factored in.

Extreme 3 definitely sounded superior in these tests. However, I'm not sure it was superior enough to justify the price difference. Based on Amazon prices when I am typing this, Extreme 3 ($379) costs 3.5 times more than Motion Boom ($109). Does it sound 3.5 times better? No! I don't think it even sounds twice as good. I'd say Extreme 3 sounds 1.5 times as good (or 50% better) than Motion Boom. For its price point, Motion Boom sounds surprisingly good.

Yeah that’s my biggest problem with the X3 is the price not worth it at full price

You can never tell the difference unless you put them side by side. soundcore will take my cake for its price, and loudness. I had Extreme 3 and returned it. if you like jbl, i suggest get the charge 5 instead.

Both are great. Only one is affordable.

I like both of them but the Soundcore Motion Boom sounds better then the jbl Xtreme 3 even the prices on both pf them i personally I think Soundcore Motion Boom won but you do what you do. Plus we all have different ears. ❤

Once you experience the bass and EQ customization of the Soundcore stuff (select pro and motion boom in particular) it’s really hard to go back to other things. Tried about 6-7 different brands in store again recently and none of them struck me like my Select Pro does. Which is basically the Motion Boom with LEDs.

the motion boom isn't the clearest tbh compared to the JBL, but on songs where the singer is a softer voiced girl, I actually like the motion boom more just coz it makes the voice sound ethereal.

Wanna buy it my bo plus will be here tomorrow but I'm still eying the tribit stormbox blast but gotta also add the partybox 110 just got lot better withheld added eq in jbl app but the boom plus is gonna be fn bomb

The X3 is so over priced compared to their charge and flip series. I don’t believe you get what you pay for with the Xtreme 3 $380 no way

I'm mad at JBL because they can do better than this for $375.I listened to the extreme 3 at Brandsmart since I love the boombox and I just did not like it. The bass is underperforming so I bought the souncore motion boom since it was 80 dollars at Amazon a few days ago and boy I'm so happy. I honestly think the motion boom sounds better, the bass is better too.

Yea JBL Xtreme 3 is overpriced at full price and I will never stop feeling that way about it. They did add EQ to the app finally after all this time so you can bump up the X3 now but still that price 👎🏾

For my taste in music, clarity sounds better but the Motion Boom seemed to have a better bass response and that's good for fans of hip hop and dance type genres. Love JBL but their products are just too godamn high. Soundcore takes this for better value

Untrue. Xtreme 1 have bigger bass radiators than both of these but can't touch a single hair of how deep Motion Boom and Xtreme 3 go

For $150 which is what I got it it was amazing. The boom is brittle. My friend had one, dropped it and it cracked like glass. He then placed that one in the trash and bought a flip 6. As far as I am aware he has no regrets

I would not buy anything from JBL their customer service sucks

You get what you pay for. Soundcore is designed to be subpar mediocre quality - entry level stuff. If you wanna get great immersive sounds at an affordable price, get the Harman Kardon Onyx Studio series. Best bang for your buck. Literally!
