The Pulse 3 may not be as "showy" but ive had that speaker for a couple years now and it has done the job!

After watching this video and the one where you compared it to the flip 6 you've said that this speaker doesn't have the greatest sound or bass- would that improve to have pretty good bass if i paired two together to use on say a desk?

I’ve noticed with my pulse 5, the screen blinks red when I plug my usb charger in it.. is that normal? Its fully charged and brand new out the box

If you paired 2 Pulse 5s in Stereo could they then connect through party boost to a boombox 3? So that the pulses stay in stereo along with the addition of the bb3 being synced?

What type of charger do you use ?

I like that the Pulse 5 has cleaner sound than the other 2, but it’s a little less practical. I like the added latch on it, but I also like being able to pause, play and change the volume on my Pulse 4. I wish the Pulse 5 had both🙁…

Pulse 5 goes just on highs and vocal, but this sound have any volume, so this is full trash. Pulse 4 and 3 still sounds better.

Well at least the Pulse 5 is pretty good in sound quality. At least JBL Didn't pull a A Sony XE300😅 Looking forward to your review on the LG XG9qbk that also has a impressive light show as well

Idk if you said it in the video but how long does the speaker lights stay on idled, I know the pulse 3 stay on for 15 minutes without inactivity

Get a jbl PartyBox Encore for the best of both worlds or a 110

Am I missing it or there's no Play/+/- buttons on the Pulse 5? So everything must be controlled from the playing device? That kills it for me if that's the case.

Ended up getting a Pulse 3 and love it, I didn't like that the Pulse 4 removes the mic and aux port, and then the 5 removes the control buttons. I also like that the 3 is the only one with (3) lateral speakers for a total of 5 speakers.

Hey quick question I just bought my JBL pulse 5 at Best Buy open box and it's great but you know how some JBL speakers if you don't use it for more than 15 minutes they turn off automatically to save battery my pulse 5 for some reason it turns off after an hour of non use, I was gonna say does your turn off after 15 minutes or more of non-use?

It’s a setting that you can change in the app I think. But yeah. Mine turns off as well

Hi, I both own P4 and P5 and then sold the P4. But I find it odd that I love how the P4 sounds. Even if it has the EQ and I lower down the right slider, I still prefer the P4s sound. I am sad with my P5. :( I really want to like it because it is definitely an improvement in Bass over the P4 but my ears don't hear what it loves to hear with the P5. 🥺

@@Skungangster obviously encore stereo pair is better. 200W vs 160W, 4 tweeters combined vs 2 tweeters(pb110). But its also more expensive than a single pb110.

In your written review you wrote that "the Pulse 5 charges via a USB C port on the back… and unfortunately this is the only port that you’ll find on this speaker… and unfortunately you can’t use this USB C port as a wired connection or use it to charge your own devices like how you can with the USB C port found on the JBL Xtreme 3" Really, the Pulse 5 cannot be used while plugged into the USB port? What happens when you try? I asked JBL Help Desk and they stated you can use it while charging. ?? I'm confused.

For me, the Pulse 4 sounds the best, dunno if that's just me. Would love a comparison in sound of all Pulse generations as well, since the 1 and 2 had a whole different setup in terms of light feature and JBL removed the app support for the 1 some time ago sadly😢

Pulse 3 is the best speaker using it from last 6 yrs

since i have both i can say if you want lights then get the pulse 5 but realize that the sound is pretty bad compared to any other JBL speaker. if you want sound just get the flip 6 or charge 5. personally id say the charge 5 because the battery life is so good it last 3 days without charge. if you dont care about sound and you can play it low without worrying about the muffle sound then the light ones are fine but it would not really rely on the pulse 5 as a sound speaker.

I’ve head the pulse 3 for like 4 years I cracked the the top of the shell recently but it still works like new and I’ve used it heavily probably recharged the battery 200 times and it has no issues with play back time. By far my favorite indoor speaker

Buddy... I bought a jbl 310 party box And it works for music But doesn't work for Mobile phone conversation. ( I use Samsung android ) Can I trouble you for a recommendation? Need something which can handle mobile phone conversation And music. Budget = 600 usd or less Size is not a problem What would u suggest I buy?

I can't believe you can't use stereo mode with a Pulse 4 & 5. Missed opportunity I can understand not being able to do that with the 3 because it has the last generation Bluetooth, but the 4 in 5 are in the same generation of tech.

I was very excited because JBL 5 is coming to my place next month, I have JBL 4 so I thought I could get stereo sound if I pair to jbl 5, this is very disappointing

Could you review a speaker called: Blitzwolf BW WA3? Versus the JBL boombox 3?

I find the JBL letters too big on the JBL Pulse 5.

The JBL logo should be like 200% bigger.

Pulse 4 sounds better based on the sample music.

The front logo is too big.

Loved my pulse 3, tried the pulse 4 and returned it….the pulse 4 was horrible. Just picked up a pulse 5 and I’m loving it so far!

Vocals/treble are far clearer on the pulse 5 in this test. Both are far better than the 3 though. This is the same effect the tweeter had on the charge 5 and flip 6 over their predecessors: a clearer, more refined sound that works for all genres. It might be more subtle if you are listening to the video on consumer headphones such as earbuds. I’m listening on the Sony MDR-7506, which are designed specifically for mixing music.

Wait, you can't get rid of the huge JBL ad on the display?? F that! $210? What a ripoff.

id say the Pulse 2 is still by far the best sounding, pulse 3 lacked bass and loudness, pulse 4 wasnt that much better and poor batterly life by 3rd month, never use them anymore, just stored as a collection, not sure if to try the pulse 5
