    Mine keep vibrating and terminal covers came unglued. I love these, but, I weekly repairs. Tweeter keeps loosening and I already took a speaker back. They sound great, powerful. But, sometimes too much for smaller venues.

    Looking for solid and sound suggestions (and feedback if not too shrill) on PRX versus VRX for conference hall venues up to 150'x150' with up to 800 people. VRX would likely use fewer cabinets, I estimate 1 x VRX918SP with 2 x VRX932LAP pole mounted above per side. For roughly the same money I estimate I could get 1 x PRX718XLF and 5 x PRX735 per side.VRX should have better depth reach. Seems like the PRX would have better overall distribution (and greater overall power output) with more cabinets in the mix.Thoughts?

    I'm looking for a 15" speakers and I'm debating between the JBL PRX715 and Yamaha DXR15. Any views on these 2 speakers?

    I Have the 735's and I love them. The 735's don't have a pole mount, just so you know. Oh, and JBL added some internal fans so I assuming they don't have the heat issues that the 635's did.

    I recently purchased 2 prx715's and 1 prx718. I do plan to order a second prx718 but for now when I run my sound for DJing do I want to go to the sub first or to the tops first? What would be the best config since I am running 1 sub at this point? Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the question! You should connect left and right outputs to the input jacks of the sub first, then from the outputs of the sub to your tops. This will make use of the crossover in the sub and keep the separate left and right channels going to the top boxes.

    I just bought a pair of the prx725 and my question is do I run from the output source to a splitter so I can run both channels of each speaker? Im a little confused about that?

  • @fullcompass

    You’ll only need to connect one input and you can use the selector switches on the back to set which channel you’d like to use. The second input is there if you’d like to run more than one source to the same speaker, but it’s not necessary to feed both inputs if you’re only using one source.

    Awesome thank you. Now if I'm running dual subs (prx 718) do I have to use a dual splitter there or hook up the same with just one input? I normally run one sub and run left to one channel and right to the other then out to each satellite. But now that I have to subs I'm curious on how to run those together with my satellites

    ***** To use one PRX718 with two PRX725s you’ll want to run your left and right source channels to the CH1 and CH2 inputs on the PRX718, select the “HI-PASS” Setting on the “PASS-THROUGH” button on the rear panel of the PRX718, then connect the two PRX725s to the CH1 and CH2 “THRU” outputs on the PRX718. This configuration will use the crossover that’s built into the subwoofer, and send the Left and Right high-passed signals to the PRX725s.

    How to connect 2 jbl prx 715, 2 jbl prx 718 with DBX drive rack for a live band to get maximum effect?

  • @fullcompass

    @fullcompass

    9 жыл бұрын

    There’s half a dozen different DBX drive racks, but the DriveRack PX would probably be the best and easiest to use choice. Plug the subs and speakers into their proper outputs on the -PX, plug the source into the -PX’s inputs and use the Setup, Auto-EQ and AFS Wizards to get started. It will have presets for most major powered speakers, so the initial setup should be relatively simple. Once the initial setup is done the user can go back adjust settings as needed.
