I think jbl designed their partybox lineup to be like this :: 2 pb 100 = 1 pb 310. 2 pb 310 = 1 pb 710 2 pb 710 = 1 pb ultimate 2 pb ultimate = the roof of your house caves in. Its a pretty smart move to have them line up like this. Bc imagine how much buyers remorse customers who bought a 310 would have if they found out they couldve gotten a better sound buying 2 pb 100s for less money than 1 310.

It is pretty smart. And both options have their pros and cons so it's not really an obvious choice. 2 of the smaller speaker will have better sound coverage and stereo separation which improves listening experience. 1 of the larger speaker may not have as good soundstage but it will be louder so there's compromises to be made.

Nice video man!! Im really confused cause jbl has big sale nowadays and i have 110,310 and 710. Im thinking of taking a second one for stereo but i dont know which speaker. You can really help me if you compare 2 310's vs 1 710!!

I have 2 , 710’s for my place. After hearing that the 310 didn’t compare. The 310 at about 75-80 volume was about what my 710 was at 50 percent. However of course 2 speakers in TWS will have a wider sound stage and better in some ways but the lows on the 710 at 50 percent volume was still lower and highs more crisp than the 310’s I took the 310’s back because somehow I could not daisychain the 710s to both of the 310s because I wanted four speakers in my living room I tried every way but it just would be no volume it was dead silent so I don’t know what the issue was I have seen where some people have this problem and some people do not so I just don’t know. Are used to 3.5 mm jack auxiliary cord like I was told by the sales person but I’m beginning to think I probably need a stereo cables and they didn’t know what they were talking about and I don’t know much about it so I’m just sticking with my pair of 310s in TWS for now. However when you crank the 710 to 75-80 percent it really gets loud and with 2 of them in TWS with EQ app it’s sound great in the house .

I would be careful though if u have sensitive hearing with dual 710s at high volumes because I've already tried this and got an earache 10 Mins after exposure for like 5 minutes at 80-100% volume on a high treble song. My big mistake not wearing hearing protection😖.
