We had a 1st gen Echo in our master bathroom for listening to music in the morning kzread.infoUgkxABghAEkaIDGZfHRBH3D3rBrlraNmnC71 and while in the shower. I didn't realize how tinny and awful the sound output on the original Echo was until we replaced it with the Studio. It was a sonic upgrade far beyond what I was expecting. Just wow. I love it because it's like having speakers IN the shower. My friend likes it because the music is so loud that she can no longer hear me singing. So that's a win-win.

I have JBL Boombox, Charge 3, Onyx Studio 3 and this latest Partybox300. I like boomy and bassy songs. After compared all this portable and chargeable speaker that I had, by my personal opinion, Boombox still the best in overall. It got enough loadness and bass, long lasting batteries life and portable enough to carry around. Of cause Partybox300 is louder and got way more bass, but is too big and too heavy to carry around as a portable device.

@@willi-wd7kn Actually, the jbl-s are worth it. I have used my 200 eur extreme for over a year, it is worth every cent imo. And i think you will get a lot for the price you pay. The 200 eur extreme has been more than enough for me in every situation.

I have the boombox and was wanting more bass. I did notice the boombox does produce better bass when standing up.

Try the partybox 300 against with the diamondboxx model m, sony xb90 or 60, bose s1, teufel, and some other competetive speakers. Try opening the partybox's grill for another crazy bass test

Altec Lansing Xpedition 8 is only 6 months on the market and has outstanding reviews. Would be great to compare. The Xpedition 8 is also everything proof and has light show and dual 8" woofers. They are same price and make for great comparison....looking to buy 4 of the winner between the models

Just bought the Partybox due to your comparisons. I think it might be an upgrade from my charge 3 which I am currently using as my main soundsystem for my old car. When you place a speaker against a wall, like you have done with these two speakers, the barrier will reinforce and increase the bass. The more bass the speaker has, the more it will be reinforced. So I highly doubt the Partybox has muddy bass if it were properly placed. This is user error by a reviewer that doesn't know what they are doing.

...any chance in these video's you can give a track listing of the music you play?...plus any chance of giving a cross section of music genres so we may see how they fair on the speaker ranges you cover... not everyone will listen to EDM..

Not really...but a cross section of music would allow us to make our minds up if the speaker is any good for vocals, classical,rock etc....I really enjoy the music you play as I can relate to the genre of jazz funk, fusion edm etc ..as I have a wide range of taste in musical genres...but then again not everyone is like me 😊

@@robdanks3276 I doubt 90% of the kiddies here would be interested in classic etc... rock ok, but I don't listen to that stuff so I really don't care how it sounds with this. usually if a speaker sounds good overall, it will sound good with any genre. the Partybox has a quite neutral sound for being a partybox, thus it will play anything nicely you feed it with, unlike all the Marshall, Aiwa etc, which are heavily sounded and far from a natural sound.

@@evertssonsimon I have no tracklist, are mostly edited tracks by me that I found or bought somewhere and cut together etc.

Ported speakers are much better it seems. I think part of the reason bass is restricted on JBLs smaller speakers is they dont want the passive radiators flipping out. On my Boombox they go crazy if I play a bass note around 45 hz while its plugged in.

Differences is in the position of the bass speakers.Put the boombox in a room and youll hear the boom as it is reflected from the walls. Party box speakers is more directed.. Each for a different purpose. I'll have one of each.
