My friend has the 100 and I have just bought a 110 this week and to be honest, it's hard to tell any difference when listening in the flesh. Whichever you purchase, you won't be disappointed as they are both fantastic speakers!

​@@curtcodein6486 from a monetary standpoint, 230 dollars for 100 vs 400 dollars for the 110, for basically sharper treble and boomier bass definitely not worth the premium you pay. It would be nice to have the app on the 100 but its such a good deal. The rgb lights def go way harder on the 110 tho i agree.

I don’t care for the light show, gonna keep in the house only so don’t need IPX for waterproof for water splash. I kinda like the 100 style look , personal opinion.

@Fractal_blip ok I payed 315 for the pb110 and 300 for the jbl encore I never saw the 100 but the 110 is a overall better package specially now The giseo partybags from Amazon are a perfect match to carry them on the road

You gotta dream a little bigger. You can get the jbl 100 for 2 hundred definitely worth it at that price. They both put the same wattage out but one is like 200 bucks cheaper.

Where i am, they want 400 for the 110 and 230 for the 100 in USD. thats a pretty penny considering what we are buying.

Great video I have both speakers and in my opinion the 100 sounds a little cleaner but both are quality speakers.

Nice comparison. Both are good But little bit equaliser setting somehow different. 100 is little bit treble high than 110. I am listening through Soundcore liberty 2. Bass is good.

110 sounds a bit muffled (probably due to the ipx rating) but has a more full sound compared to the 100. The 100 sounds clearer but sounds thinner, hollow compared to the 110. I have the 100 but might pick up the 110 for some low end goodness and my 2 chrg 5s in stereo.

I have two 100s, when my sons turned 21 I bought them each a 110. I think the 100 sounds much clearer than the 110, the 110 sounds muffled, and when running off Battery the bass on the 100 sounds better. I am right behind you preferring the sound of the 100 to the 110.

Cause of those piercing highs compared to the 100

the 110 just has a better quality sound all around i’m not gonna lie , i bet money tho in person it’s a lot harder to tell and it probably doesn’t make too much of a difference , i feel like with things like this upgrading to the newer version is never really worth it because there’s never that much of a difference , i feel with this you don’t really have to upgrade unless you really want to it won’t matter too much

(Please excuse my description) I wish they had a speaker that was a mix of the two. The 110 has a warmer sound and nicer bass that I like but a little too drowned. The 110 sounds open and clear but too treble-y like even the vocals have that horrible high pitched sound. I have to 100 and it's actually not bad at all in person I'm still very happy with the 100 wouldn't upgrade.

when at home, I use the PB100 exclusively only for LFE with sub out from pre-amp as input. will this damage the unit? In what way?

100. Very happy. Scared the crap out of me while watching alien vs predator 😂 Ive read 110 has a more refined sound and improved sound dispersion because of its angled tweeters, but many complained about its bass boost 1 mode. 😂 And watching oluvs video before made me choose the pb100. If youre having 2nd thoughts, i recommend to watch his videos. Hes doing the sound testing outdoors on different distances pitting pb100 on other pb. But still got no idea what improvements will happen when updating firmwares. Well, im happy with my new speaker. So who cares🤷‍♂️

@@Buang2x hey man. Thanks for the reply. I don't want the boomy bass of 110 because I will be using mostly indoor around 50% volume. So 100 suits my need with deeper rumbling bass. The second thought is the improvement as you mentioned. I want 110 as well for the reason that it will get improvement along the way, I hope so.

I think the IPX4 is what you pay for , really wish I knew how the 100 handles wetness. It’s obviously not rated but will it handle like a little drizzle or something ?

You're right... in this demo, the 100 seems to have more clarity in the mids. The 110 is more scooped. Good ear, brother. Subscription earned.

hi dear . i purchased the party box 100 last year after watching your review. this year i purchased sony x74 55 inch smart tv. but i am feeling very bad for two reasons. firstly the voice lag issue between tv and speakers and secondly the limited connectivity options, if only they had given an hdmi port in jbl party box 100. is there any way to add a hdmi port in the box.?

The speaker isn’t designed for max volume as with all speakers, that will damage it because of too much heat and vibration

I gotta party on d go (wt 2 mics) for 2 yrs now. Am looking upgrade either 110 or 310. Personally i prefer 310. But practically 110 seems good choice too. Pls advise

Personally the 100 sounds better with those crisp highs. Bass isn't everything, though almost... Thanks a bunch.

Does an update for 110 will fix it? Can u show the updated 110 vs 100.

Firstly, Props and Peace to DLX for taking the time to put this comparison together. My take on the comparison results, the extreme low end of the 110 sounds more muddy than the 100. It almost sounds like JBL augmented the boost in the low end resonance range of the 110. The 100 sounds cleaner, still reproduces low bass program material but cleaner. The 100 upper mid range and high frequencies sound clearer compared to the 110. The 110 sounds like the very high end is rolled off compared to the 100 although not likely the case here. It’s probably the result of filter processing of the program material within the amps. Overall, the 100 sounds more balanced. At the end of the day your ears,listening taste and preferences will decide for you. As information, I listened with Sony earbuds, eyes closed first then eyes opened to identify which sounded better. The 100 being nearly half the price of the 110 really does draw deep line in the sand between the two. Seems like 2 100s would outmatch one 110 any day.
