The final review of the JBL Partybox 1000. I walk you through all the features and after 5 days playing with it, I give my opinion on the speaker. Watch till the end and I'll show you my one and only issue with the sound. If you have decent speakers or headphones you'll hear exactly what i'm talking about. As a side note, when I purchased the speaker it was $1000 bucks, it is now priced at $1200! Enjoy and don't forget to hit like and subscribe.

    Man your review is the best so far I have seen on this speaker. You mentioned the practical issues quite differently than others. I was making my mind to buy this but I agree with you on the point that if it ain't gonna give good bass on high volume then no use! One's better off to buy a stereo quality sound system. The lights are cool. The DJ console is ok for beginners n fun. Wish they sold with the lights only lOl

    I had a discussion with JBL today discussing their partybox line. They claim that the partybox 1000 has 1100 watts output at the same time they say that it's a maximum rating. I sent them an email and I said I'm very surprised that a company like JBL would not post the actual RMS rating why would they only give the Peak? They responded with the instruction manual stating the exact same specification that it's 1100 Watts Peak. So I researched it to death and found out that the actual RMS ratings on the party box line is approximately 1/3 of the peak rating. So for instance the party box 300 which claims it is 300 watts Peak is only 100 Watts RMS. That is one third of what they are claiming. Just thought that you guys should know the correct information before you buy it. Car stereo amplifiers are famous for making false wattage claims that's why I was very surprised to see that a company like JBL was doing the same. Not to say that there's anything wrong with it or it doesn't sound good but you're paying Mad Money for something that's giving you an incorrect exaggerated specification. Have a blessed day.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

    Nice review, I've always liked how JBL speakers sound, the RGB here is killer. So, JBL lists the watts at RMS. I'm assuming at a moderate volume, it would be around 200 watts? I'm asking because if I get this I'll be running it with a few other smaller things off a battery powered generator and am trying to calculate what size generator to get. And when I say moderate volume, probably 30% tops. I know something like the 310 would be a much better choice, and a lot cheaper. But the RGB here's really making me want one. And, I'd have the ability to go extra loud when I really want to.

  • @Robsreviewsanddemos

    @Robsreviewsanddemos

    2 жыл бұрын

    The total output is 1100 watts RMS, that's how loud it is. You have to look at the Power consumption rating and that is 150 watts. I'd figure 300 watts for sizing a gene. Are you going to use it outside? Just curious. It is a pretty speaker but I like a standard woofer for outdoors.

  • @cory118
    @cory1182 жыл бұрын

    I have this speaker. I only use it on full blast outside with bass boost off. I dont notice a bass fall off at volume with that setting but i might not be paying attention. I bought this as a get me by alternative to a proper pa system for the portability of it...the cage on the woofer could be better...way better...for transport...i feel like a mesh would have been better. the wheels are almost useless unless you are on a smooth hard surface. All in all the speaker sounds great to me and it does what I need it to do...but some of the features get in the way of what this speaker could be.

The only problem I have with the sony's is it's a little tough to get the sound dialed in.

    For anyone who wants to dj with this with a controller that doesn't have bloluetoooth, you'll need to use the 1/4" guitar input. Otherwise when you use the real inputs there is a delay from the on-board processor that makes beatmixing awful. I don't know for sure but I think the guitar input bypasses the processor and therfore no delay.

    Are you looking for a party speaker? It's a very nice speaker, but very expensive. If you can get a deal, for $1000 or less it's worth it. If you don't need a Mono party speaker, for that price you can get a decent home theater with surround sound.

    Those PAD controls are so ridiculous. I hould trade all that for simpler controls: the left row ( switch button, bluetooth power and lights) the right row (minus, plus and play) and i hould add fast foward/rewind and skip/back tracks from the USB) and the bass buton. Thats it. All those dj things are just adding cost for no reason, not one single person will be using that on a regular basis, we can use it for fun one time and thats it... This speaker sounds incredible, and if JBL could do a speaker just like this but a bit smaller, without those dj nonsense, it hould be perfect.

    The problem with cerwin vega speakers(as you mentioned at the end) is that the horns are quite tinny/sharp and most of their speaker's ports are tuned to about 50 - 40 Hz. You won't get any 30Hz or below bass. Check out SVS. The PB-1000 produces more bass than the Cerwin vega xls28. my friend got the xls28's, they're louder above 50 Hz but when 45 - 40Hz and especially 35 Hz and below comes in the PB-1000 just completely shits on the cerwin vegas. And i'ma remind you that the PB-1000 is a single 10 inch driver and the xls28's got two 8 inch drivers in each cabinet.

That said I do like a sub For my home theater. Nice clean low bass is great for watching movies, but for music I want speakers to blow me off my feet. Ever wonder why they don’t use Sub woofers at concerts? Thats why, but thanks again for your comments I may order that sub to give it a listen.

    @@Robsreviewsanddemos I'm pretty sure they use subwoofer at concerts, they use stacked PA speakers and in the front of the stage usually 15 or 18s. I do kinda agree with you. The problem with good subwoofers and music with deep bass is that 25 Hz and below just vibrates the fuck out of your house. and most subs that hit that low are tuned really low. My PB-1000 is tuned to 22 Hz, goes below 20 Hz and does 50 - 60 Hz really good but it doesn't kick you in the chest like the CV XLS line do. But it's all about personal taste of course.

Better bass response and the highs were cleaner than the Sony too at max but it wasn’t louder so back it went! Then I turned the corner and saw the JBL 100 and 300. I Did a little test run as JBL has their own set up with test music. There was no time to waste It was and immediate deference so I took it home and it really just blows me away at how clean and loud It is at max volume and that bass is unreal! In addition to my comment about the specifications. Just keep in mind that a lot of the money is going into the flashing lights and the ridiculous sound effects that are on this unit as well as the name. Take off the name JBL because it's made in China anyway. Remove the sound effects and the ridiculous lights and it's probably worth approximately $500. But if you like it and you have that kind of money to spend on something that is more of a toy an actual DJ equipment go right ahead. It's you money do what you like.🇺🇸🇺🇸🎶

    I find JBL over priced, but they are a good speaker. Also keep in mind the output wattage is not the end all for loudness. Speaker sensitivity also has a big role to play, you can have a more sensitive speaker with less wattage be louder than a less sensitive speaker with more wattage.
