I’m just watching this video because I want to buy the iLoud, but I saw that you have a problem in your room, a hole in 104Hz in both cases. I had the same issue with all of my speakers and solved by changing the position of my setup from the long side wall to the shorter one. Now it’s soooooo linear. Thank you for your comparison anyway, it was very useful for me.

Hey great video once again! However the iLouds seem to have a huge issue when it comes to the 50 hz frequency and lower. When the monitors reach the low end, the bass port makes way too much noise (like a screech or a high pitched punch sound). Did you notice this too in your testing? These JBL are just piece of crap. They do not represent the recording. Boomboxes. They have no bass, mids are tinny. Lots of distortion. IK just is as close to the source as possible. "FULL SPEED" track says that all.

It's correct . People forget that a monitor speaker is flat of sound . If you looking for hifi sound that those speakers are not for you. You can read it from people who tell that the base more bla bla. No it's have to be Cristal clear so you can make your own sound. So never forget that monitor speakers are make to make the sound like original . Need more in the low end a big speaker is what you need . For monitor speakers on your desk 50cm from your own ears you can use small speakers. And no the speaker do not need to go loud it's need to on a normal level so you can adjust the sound .

I disagree with the review. The iLouds have very harsh and fatiguing highs, extremely sibilant and annoying. The JBL 104 have non-existent lows, so piano sounds very thin, and they lack clarity, sounding like a cheap radio. In general, both speakers sound like crap. Get the JBL LSR 305 MKII instead.
