My Xiaomi phone survived in the deep freezer @-10 degrees celsius overnight.Funny thing,apart from a 10% drop in battery my phone was still on. The battery showed no drop in charge for the next four or five hours even though I tried everything possible to drain it. The response on the device was truly seamless and instant.After almost five hours,it slowly got normal and started draining again.The battery is more than 2 years old and it still rocks.Moral-Cold is excellent for Li-ion based batteries.

The issue in my case was that water somehow got inside, reached the PCB and since it was connected to a battery some components got heavily corroded. I think this speaker has some sort of small valve that regulates the pressure inside the cabinet when taken from a warm environment to cold. As you probably know if you take an empty plastic bottle an place it in a cold place it will contract. Same thing happened here but since it has that valve it sucked water inside instead of air. If I would have just placed it in the freezer without submerging it would have been fine, as you say, even the battery.

Probably eacause of the difference of the covers since the Jbl go is metal cover with no fabric water gets in more easier but with the charge 4 and xtreme 2 it doesn’t as much if you wanna see that Pasha Es

About 30 ft or 10 meters, but that's probably in an open space with no walls between the two devices.
