They’re both good, in my opinion. The Wonderboom 3 would be ideal if it had USB-C 😒. Flip 6 has better bass and the Wonderboom 3 has a wider sound, the bass is there but not as deep as the flip 6. It’s really personal preference at the end of the day. UE needs to up their game… they’re due for a new lineup.

To me seems like the boom 3 has an all around sound stage better than flip but the flip is a little bit more clearer…. Notice it when he did the volume test the boom even at 100% gave out a balance sound where the flip definitely changed…

Wonderboom 3 does hold it's sound signature better than the Flip 6. The Flip 6, however, sounds more full and powerful up until 80% or higher when the bass scales back.

The WB 3 is more of a WB 2 update than an actually third iteration. I was excited when I heard that a 3 was coming out. Talk about a huge disappointment when it finally did.

Agree! The wb 3 is a wb 2 with a newer Bluetooth version that makes the battery last 1 more hour, and that's all!

The reason behind that ue wonderboom 3 is lacking cause the outdoor mode is not turned on

JBL for sure. I liked the original WB and purchased the WB2 but was disappointed so I’ll skip WB3. Maybe they’ll do a more comprehensive revamp next time.

yeah, the Wonderboom 3 really isn't a bad speaker, but UE just got lazy and didn't really upgrade what was already a few years old speaker. The Micro-USB deal still baffles me.

To me the flip is a little bit clearer other than that really no difference I do like how the boom 3 gives 360 listening

Flip 6 also has a fuller sound. Boom 3 is bi-directional, so not true 360 degree sound. Two active drivers firing in opposite directions.

Honestly i have had 2 wonderbooms the wb 1 and wb 2. Great speakers but that micro usb was always a let down. Sometimes the connection would not charge and other times it would. So i have moved away from them its jbl for me this time. R.I.P wonderboom.

Hey bro I have the rave Neo 2 but I asked soundcore to stop the limitation as will disappear bass because I tested the rave Neo it was making pop sound coming from the bass woofer I don’t like how soundcore are doing to there speakers

One thing I forgot to mention is the Flip 6 has JBL app support and within that is a 3 band EQ, just like the JBL Partybox app. I find that bumping up the bass on the Flip 6 gives it a bit more bass at higher volume levels if you need it loud. I use it at work sometimes to carry with me and run it max volume.

The problem with these small 360 speaker's, is that they sound better against a wall. They aren't big enough to fill a room, so a front fireing speaker this size will always sound better...

Multi-Directional speakers are supposed to be good for room coverage. You put it in the middle of the room and the sound distributes all around it. Problem with that, as you alluded to, is in the middle of a space is where your speaker will deliver the thinnest sound. Only exception to that is if you yourself are up against a wall or in a corner. That's why in home theater circles, the worst place to locate a subwoofer is usually out in the middle of the room. Up against a wall makes a big difference for a sub, like a Bluetooth speaker.

Big mistake by UE.

If you need to fill a room. The wonder boom is better. The flip 6 is better if you sit in front of it. They are different speakers for different purposes. They shouldn’t be compared just because of price points.

I like the Flip 6 much better at low to mid levels, but at high volume I like the Flip 6 better, just not quite as much. I do adjust the Flip 6 bass from the app EQ, which offsets some of the loss of bass at max volume. I don't believe the UE app supports the Wonderboom speakers.

@@richchase1381 I'm surprised UE sells so many speakers as they do. None of them are that impressive. I had a Boom 3 a few years ago and wasn't impressed. Even the Hyperboom isn't that impressive, especially considering it's price.
