I had this speaker for over a year and I always though it was shit cause the bass is just so ear destroyingly strong and I was finally looking for some equalizer solution to make it sound better and found this video. it was in low frequency mode out of the box! now it sounds great thanks a ton man you unintentionally fixed my speaker 😂

This trick destroyed my Charge 3. But if your curiosity really needs the meat, it doesn’t change much of the listening experience. Other than it can break the speaker.

Techder Audios Yo , is that possible that my low frequency mode is activated since i bought it new? I tryied to activate it to see if that speaker can get better bass and i noticed that i was already in this mode and i was listening to my JBL on sometimes 80/90/100 %sounds.

Dunno if it is just me or anyone else tried it as well ... but when i start switching it on and off after 7x holding the buttons it is in weird "no bass mode" where it plays mostly high frequencies so i was testing it even more and it seems to me like built in equalizer with 7 presets. I might be just going crazy but in this mode side membrains (passive ones) barely moves at same audio level with same song ... Could you test it out?? JBL Flip 4 with firmware 3.2.0

cool feature. never knew it existed. just got this in the mail yesterday and was using it in the shower and it was bumpin'! it sounded better than my mini-stereo which i was connecting with RCA jacks to my phone. i could not believe how great it sounded. im a DJ and i highly recommend the JBL Flip 4. FYI: if your audio sounds crappy, it's due to the audio quality. make sure it's atleast 320 kbps (authentic not transcode.. which is very common with bootleg or pirated audio).

Agree audio quality is important only Spotify extreme quality is good as 320kbps also tried tidal/flac but that stuff only works well with bt aptX code not with jbl yet for now

does it stay on after running shut it off?

Does this reset back to what it was every time it is shut off? Or does it stay at what you leave it at

That really works a lot! Now my speaker can make objects rattle on the table and doesn't sound muffled at all, not that it normally sounded bad, because it is my best portable speaker so far, but now it's even better. I wonder how that affects the battery life, though- normally I could listen to it all day and it wouldn't run out unless very loud, but now it obviously produces more sound, and with a class D amplifier consumed power actually corresponds to output power quite well.

This low fq mode is just like you just put 100hz higher than other settings and that's all. Low fq is also fake because of that this box can't go under I think 60hz?

It’s real I just got my JBL flip 4 as well I almost broke it so I turned it off and Disconnect Bluetooth and then turn it back on the Bluetooth speaker and then took it out of low frequency mode

Don’t do it it’s not a “low frequency mode” like everyone is saying

I just know that one mode has more bass and it’s sounds way better to me but apparently it can damage my speaker😭the one without more bass sounds like it barely has any😭

@@Krakadil So does using it. The only way to prevent it from getting damaged, is by never touching it. Use it in the mode you prefer the sound in. It's an entertainment product after all. Enjoy it.

Hetzelfde bij mij. Dus ik had hem weer op meer bass staan omdat ik dacht dat dat de normale modus was en nu is me charge 3 kapot. Ik heb hem vandaag terug gebracht en als het goed is gaan ze hem maken dus hopelijk komt alles gwn goed :p (linker speaker was opgeblazen wss)

+Patrique van der kooi als je de 'bass mode' aan doet worden alle equalizers uit gezet en kan je speaker kapot gaan als je liedjes aan zet met hele diepe bass. Je merkt alleen verschil als je hele diepe bass liedejes aan zet tijdens de 'bass mode'

How can I leave the low mode on after switchting off/on again? I really prefer the flat freq response with extended bass and would like the Flip to be in low mode already when turning it on. Now everytime the first thing I do is switch in low mode ;)

It's called Debug mode :P and is used by JBL techs to repair/debug hardware and software. It's not intended for end-users and will damage the unit. :( Lovely videos tho, dont know why I love watching speakers abused xD But dont do this to your own speakers!
