I didn't realize how tinny and awful the sound output on the original Echo was until we replaced it with the Studio. It was a sonic upgrade far beyond what I was expecting. Just wow. I love it because it's like having speakers IN the shower. My friend likes it because the music is so loud that she can no longer hear me singing. So that's a win-win.

I really love my JBL Flip 4 Speaker with a Bass Equalizer app. I love Bass in videos especially music. And everyone knows you buy a Bluetooth Speaker instead of relying on the Smartphone / iPhone Speaker.

just so you all know ONLY the charge 3 is getting the update to connect plus. All other JBL models that are just connect will not get the update to connect plus. this is due to the fact only the charge 3 is bluetooth 4.1 and the rest are not and can't support the update.

How did you do this.. I have 2 jbl charge 3 speakers and my friend has one but have only been able to connect 2 simultaneously

Janiix89 That's because the flip4 is is the first speaker to support jbl connect plus which lets you connect up to 100 speakers (yes... 100!!) The bad thing is that it's not supported on the old speakers , there were lots of rumors that jbl will have an update for the rest of the speakers in the line up , but they haven't done so yet!😩

In fact, a few weeks ago JBL released an update which lets you make your JBL Charge 3 compatible with Connect plus. You have to upgrade the software using the JBL Connect app.

Nice speakers for the price. Why not put the speakers sideways so you dont restrict the bass? The little "legs" in that orientation blocks alot of airflow. PS The two jbl speaker test placed horizontally you did sounds better.

Sebas Auditore Sadly you can't Flip 4 supports "connect plus" Pulse 2 supports "connect" only Its a damn shame of jbl to act like that Its a very known issue ... There were rumors that a firmware update will solve that , but that was a long time ago .... now it doesn't look like its gonna happen at all. Damn shame!

Aristidis Galanis no. Supposedly a firmware update is coming for most of the previous jbl speakers to connect to the new connect 4 in which only the flip 4 is capable of. Flip 4's can only connect to flip 4's. The old version of connect can only connect 2 jbl's whereas the new connect + in the flip 4 can connect upto 100 speakers and that will be in all the new versions of jbl speakers coming out.

@@ghelix333, Unfortunately, when it comes to JBL Flip 3, you can only connect two speakers together since they use the CONNECT technology and not CONNECT+... I was misinformed and bought three JBL flip 3, and discovered it the hard way lol.

you cant , with jbl connect you can hook up 2 xtremes together - with connect plus you can hook up 100 speakers. i did hear jbl put out a firmware update just now for older models.

Why do all the videos that test multiple JBL speakers in party mode refuse to do a proper real application test!! Who is going to put a bunch of small speakers together at a party. The real application of this technology is being able to put these speakers in different areas of a room to get a full fill effect of sound. If I wanted more sound from 1 point in a room I would use a bigger speaker! We (the people considering buying many of these) want to know what the range of the Bluetooth is and do they extend the range by passing the digital music along wirelessly daisy chained. Also once the speakers are spread out in a room how much noticeable delay and echo effect is there? All videos put the speakers right next to one another!! Who’s gonna do that!!
