I just brought one of these, mine is different. The battery led lights are on the right side integrated into the eq button. And it has a micro SD card. My bugani m83 has more bass too, the d8 is supposed to have the best bass??? It's weird

When you’re doing the W King D8 volume tests are you adjusting volume via your device or the Bluetooth speaker. Only asking because I noticed if the D8 is at 100% and device say is at 20% it’s very bass heavy. However I noticed that if the speaker is about 20% and the device is at 100% it isn’t as bass heavy. Not sure why, thought I was going crazy but now depending on my listening preference at lower volumes I end up doing the latter for late night listening.

I sync them, disable absolute volume control, set speaker to 100% device to 100% then control via device.

Hello Alan, in the time 2:42 where you show us the specs, about the POWER, I wanna know: How do you know that is 30W in DC and 50W in AC mode?. Because in the JBL web, in the datasheets they only write about the power in AC mode that is 50W RMS, but never mention the power in DC mode. How do you know????

i dont, i think i said im guessing at what the equivalence is. they used to openly say it was 30 watts for the xtreme 2 and 1 so maybe its higher now but it doesnt matter, we know how loud it goes anyway.

For around the size of the charge 3 and anker is the anker the loudest speaker or do you know of another speaker around the same size that's louder then both. I have the charge 3 I use on the handle bars of a electric bike and with a full helmet riding at 30mph it's not loud enough but I dont want something on my handlebars the size of the xtreme 2.... @@alanrossreviews Yes please, bass, midle, high, quality sound, battery live, loudnes, but I think the volume will be at the level of 30-35W maximum and not 60W :D But a better comparison would be with the champion of the bluetooth speaker up to 100 € Anker Souncore Motion + :)

I bought two W-King not so long ago. I barely used them. The sound is really great, and I never went all the way up with the volume. This past Friday (3/12/21) one of the speakers simply went silent and not only it doesn't turn on but also doesn't charge at all. I've no clue WTH happened and I don't know how to fix it. Can anybody help?

Press the reset button with a paperclip, the reset is in the aux port strange enough. Happened to me to, and its fixed now

i have both speakers, the jbl is better for low listening levels with more clarity but when it comes to a barby and outdoor partys out doors the w-king blows the jbl away end of thats why i bought two for less than the price of a jbl xtreme or even three because they all pair ;)

Hello Allan I just bought the jbl boombox 1 , and I get disappointed for the maximum volumen, I sold my jbl xtreme 2 to buy the boombox 1 and I hope it sounds louder but it wasn't as loud as I expected, I think I'll return the boombox, and I'm looking for a powerful speaker , I get disappointed for the 40W of boombox, is the same that xtreme 2 , I think I'll go for the w-king d8

A more difficult but very interesting test would be the D9 against itself or should I say against a pair of itself. Reason is that the internal cavity is shared, so how does that affect it's single unit performance vs if they are running with a single channel per individual unit? I'd think it'd be cleaner as 2 individual units. I'm also thinking that a separate independent passive driver per individual woofer makes more sense rather than a shared single passive driver per dual competing woofers. Instead of a tug-of-war for one large passive driver they should remain separate internally but the D9 is not This theory could be confirmed if they are tested as a single unit and then as a pair. This also assumes that the drivers are wired correctly in the same phase by the manufacturer. Someone on YT mentioned that one of their D8 was wired out of phase with the other speaker internally which is a quality control issue.

Soundcore Trance go is the same as the Soundcore Rave Neo, just without the lights.

I use Deezer and I set my own EQ to fit the characteristics of what the destination is. Every speaker has its own cheat based upon the engineers.

I also think JBL is overpriced, it sounds good but it's 300 euros. I have a Dockin D Fine now, which is a little more expensive than the W-king but sounds great to me. And the Dockin also offers speakers at affordable prices. I don't deny the D Fine 2+ 200 euros, it's not that cheap anymore. But the basic versions go around 100-120 euros, the whole friendly price. D FIne + was on sale on Black Friday. It was sold for 90 Euros and will arrive here on Tuesday next week. So you could say it was a good deal to buy: D

its deeper but wking has an upper bass thump, xtreme 3 has a some real extension.

Thank you very much for this comparison!!! 👌👏👏👏🎉 I think that the D8 sounds way better, more controlled, by aux cable (connecting to the laptop for example) than the bluetooth mode. Anyway for the price is still amazing value. The extreme 3 has a better bass than the D8 (in bluetooth mode), but is too expensive for what it offers.

@@alanrossreviews i would have said it was totally the other way to what you reviewed, i have both the jbl extreme 2 and w-king d8 and at low volume the d8 has a much cleaner and punchier bass, it hits a lower frequency than the extreme 2, I'm not sure if this changes with the extreme 3 but the D8 defo sounds better at lower volumes

If the source is over 75% the music will start to distort. Lowering the mids limits listening fatigue.

its coming but i have very little time these days. its response is bass heavy and rolled off in highs more than the d8. goes louder in default though than d8 but seems eq mode on d8 is louder and more balanced than eq mode on d9.

@@alanrossreviews There is a D9 firmware update but I assume you've already accounted for that. I didn't hear any distortion at max like I did on the D8. I removed the speakers to look inside, I'm not sure a shared sound chamber, shared passive radiator is a good idea since the left and right channels can't be truly separated. Left and right chambers should be separated but in a 2-D9 paired scenario that probably doesn't matter.

I have to constantly remind myself that a speaker is not a monitor, a speaker is not a monitor, as speaker is not a monitor. Monitors are supposed to be completely flat and neutral with zero listener fatigue after 8 hours in the studio. A speaker can literally be anything else and it's never wrong. A speaker is an independent instrument within and of itself and it can color the sound anyway it wants to. I keep approaching many reviews expecting the speaker to perform like a studio monitor. It's not a monitor. So it can sound like anything it wants to and not be wrong. Of course some speakers sound better or preferred over others. If they do perform like a studio monitor then we tend to like them more for discerning listening. To impress and/or to annoy others we like our bass overexaggerated with a high end boost. That's when we begin to annoy ourselves unintentionally. That what we call a backfire or fart when your nose is downwind of your rear.

@@alanrossreviews It's all subjective but yes keep demonstrating to us which instrument sounds cleaner, which is louder and which has the best bass or balance. It's all in good fun and it's great information and often about features. Like you've concluded, there's the discerning indoor class and then there's the outdoor boom box class. Keep the battle raging on.

@@alanrossreviews Got me thinking there. "W-King D3 Pro" I think is the best they have (Even sort of looks like the JBL Extreme). Priced around £120 to £150. Doesn't seem to be that much interest in it though given the lack of videos on youtube. D8 seems to be more popular.

Your comment demonstrates an incredible level of ignorance. KZread compression is nothing to do with the lossless testing i do with the original tracks. I uploaded in the highest format and bitrate youtube allows. Nobody on youtube can avoid the final compression youtube does with every channel. Do some serious research next time if you don't want to come over as a dumsky. Perhaps you were attempting to pass judgement on electronic music but your wording shows you have little knowledge on audio. Electronic music is not inherently compressed, any track can sound compressed depending on its mixing and mastering. However electronic music has the widest bandwidth of any Genre. Youre welcome dumsky.

W-king cheap made in china speaker with battery led lights and IPX5 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣, Xtreme 3 quality made speaker with clear sound and bass IP67, but the haters complain about no battery led lights 🤣 who cares about battery led lights in something small and portable like this you can just check the jbl app to check how much battery you have, I'd rather pay more for quality that'll last me years than paying way less for a piece of trash that'll probably last me a few months before I need to replace it for another piece of trash and end up paying more in the long run
