Great test. I could hear the difference listening on my Bose 450. I have the JBL extreme 3, it sounds really good, but clearly the Boom Box 3 has the bass pump i like.

I agree with u regarding the bass on the Xtreme 3,so i tried to download an equalizer app and crank up the bass by 40% and suddenly the Xtreme 3 bass comes to life and has a more fuller sound with noticeable bass even at max volume. I'm happy with it. 👍😉

Wished I read this, I have a charge 4 and it was similar performance with the xtreme 3 and I was disappointed so I returned the xtreme 3 today and I’m having a boombox 3 coming in the next day

Just received my boombox 3 Wi-Fi. My first impression of it is not that good but now slowly I am liking it.

I have two boombox threes and used to have an extreme three. I love them all but the boom box wins for bass.

Thank you for the test, but I thing I would have guessed that the bigger, pricier Boombox 3 could play louder than the smaller more portable Xtreme 3; no need to do a test here. And the music choices weren't eclectic enough. No classical, no jazz with brass, no chorus and only loud beat: music lovers, go your way! Right now, I still do not know which one would be more suitable for me :'-(

Since I have both I'm going to tell you go with the boombox the only reason for the xtreme 3 is for portability and the boombox is still portable. Much more loud and much more bass

Hey I’m doing good. Thanks. For more powerful bass, the citation 200 is the one to get. For cleaner bass, the HomePod might have the edge due to its heavy audio processing.

I prefer the extreme 3 because at low volume I think the x3 is clearer and more pleasant. I ok only listen in a small room at max 70 percent. If listening moderate levels save your money and just get a Xtreme 3.

Yeah devialet speakers it's beyond louder than JBL brand speakers. The boombox 3 it's heavy speaker and the extreme 3 lighter it's like small boombox.

No! It is designed for ultimate portability because when either unit is fully charged you get 12hrs playback on the Extreme3 and 24hrs on Boombox3.

The Boombox2 is great if you want the sound richness of the Boombox3 without the premium price tag approx £230rrp. The X-king range of Bluetooth speakers are also good for portable sound with decent bass volume for its size and respectable price tag. £50 for 30W and £80 for 70W. I have the 30W X-King and it's impressively loud for its size especially in a small room.
