I can now see more of where the 500 dollar price tag comes from.. the engineering design and product. With a hint of greed in some aspects but it all makes sense. This speaker undoubtedly has its position in the speaker matrix.

Tbh you not wrong i dont rlly see any speakers matching the quality control especially. Where as jbl makes basically all of their speakers come out the factory amazing condition

I have 2 WKing 50,they are TWS,JBL does not,you can pair them but no True Wireless Strero,I can play Floyd and get DIFF sound from each speaker,100 watts,50 each side,JBL/ JUNK BUT LOUD is the term from the 70's.

IT IS MATCH!! PERFECT MATCH AMPLIFER TO THE SPEAKERS!! the only missing with the amp is the large capacitors more than 2000uf, transistors NJW recommended, you can upgrade the Amplifer to improve its stock power 10x larger

It's an amazing beast. I'm surprised they didn't install a beating heart ♥ in this thing. Definitely impressed by it's design. Love JBL speakers.

Surprisingly repairable as that will go back together no problem. They used real gaskets instead of hot snot gluing everything down. Good work JBL.

You only get sound this good-the bass, the treble and the clarity up to max volume- with a device this well built. I got mine a couple of weeks ago and use it every day. It is my favorite “thing.” Just incredible! Just have to be careful- listening to rock with it cranked will leave you with your ears ringing!

Wow, i didn`t expect this. This speakers build provides real value for money. No wonder it sounds this good. It`s the quality build and components that make it happen. The battey is really impressive too.

It's a good channel I found. Keep up the good work, complete disassemblies of the speakers are always interesting. Just for the future, when you show the motherboard, bring the DAC, ADC and amplifier chips closer or write their markings.

Boombox lineup has always been able to keep up with the partybox 100/110 in terms of loudness but bass was always lacking, boombox 3 still doesn’t have as much as 110 but it definitely closes the gap thanks to that massive new woofer

The magnets on the drivers are absolutely enormous

Love the vid got the specs to which jbl dont advertise for some reason and the designs are really well thought out

Been using mine for about 2 years and it's as good as it gets for waterproof capability and sound. It's Aril of '24 and I used mine on a river last year in August. My speaker ended up fully submerged at multiple points while not using it and it still performs flawlessly. Dont ever intentionally submerge a speaker no matter what the waterproof rating is though lol.

I've been dying for #4 to hit the market, you just know it's going to be fantastic! Hopefully early next year. Specially I'm looking for more range in bass, louder bass, and of course a longer lasting battery.

definitely. this was one of the more complicated teardown ive done.

Can you let us know what type of DACs this speaker uses? I think I saw an AKM. Also the amplifiers. Great video by the way.

I really like this. I have one of the best has an issue with the FFC connecting the charging board and the mother board, please could you help me tell me how to fix it, when I switch it on after few seconds it goes off, but when I disconnected the FFC connecting the charging board and mother board it stopped.

Without needing to remove the 100 screws, your best bet would be inside the cover. If not, remove one side of the passive radidator and tuck it inside there.

How many hours approximately dies it take to "break in " a brand new speaker ? Is there a preferred volume for this ? Ie. 50% volume for 10 hours? Much appreciated.

Is that speaker powerfule? The 4 ohms driver, how much RMS wattage output of class D amp/per driver? (not speaker ratings)

I own the Boombox 2. I would’ve thought the battery was a lot bigger! 🤯

from what i see, there wasnt any part number on the driver, but im sure you can find other generic drive around the same size.

Personally I don't like oval/rectangular speakers since they where always used in crappy Tv's and they suck but JBL really kinda made them better.

sorry i dont. best thing to do is either get the driver from third party vendor who partout the boombox 3 part, or get a driver with the same size/power

What kind of amplifier it has? Tda something?

Still prefer the ac board to be like the boombox 2 that has the external powerbrick for easy access in case of repair/replacement

How many and which are the amplifier chips used by that speaker, I guess it is one exclusive for low frequency sounds and another for mids and one more for highs.

I upgraded from the Boombox 1 and the Boombox 3 Sounds much cleaner and has better Bass Response. I dont know if its better than the Boombox 2 but i would expect it is.

how the bass feel inside\outside

Gyus newer do that its realy hard to made pasive radiators to worck after that,its not imposible but.....:)

why are tweeters placed on top of mid range ?

it depend on how well you put it back together. Mine still work perfectly after putting it back together, even in wet condition.
