I run the same settings on my charge 5, bass just +1 with everything else flat. Perfect sound for a small portable speaker

Ive had issue to update my xtreme 3, just keeps turning off itself while updating with a loud *CLICK*. Not sure whats going on. Thats why im doing some research.

My JBL extreme 3 is troubling me seriously now while playing music for about 30 minutes my speaker can just trip off and showing red light so I don't really know what to do so please tell me exactly what to do.

I bought an Xtreme 3 yesterday after buying a Charge 5. I'm just content with JBL's products. I also have bought 2 pairs of bluetooth headphones from them. ❤ The sound always has head's turning.

It stays for good, and you can even EQ the sound when playing from line in on XTREME.

When I go onto the app, my extreme 3 didnt so the option to customize the eq. I bought it in march so I’m confused. How do I fix it

@@ph4n1th great choice man. If I could go back I’d much rather chose the xtreme 3 but my charge 5 is still amazing. The xtreme has much deeper base and a strap to carry it along with USB C port. Keep that dream alive you got it brodie

@@ph4n1th Stero at that separation distance I’d not discernible. The distance of separation is 6”. That being said the Extreme is a better speaker but not twice as good. I paid $350.

I like your Xtreme 3 EQ. I use the same but I put mids to +1 I'm sad the EQ on Xtreme 3 is almost useless past 60% though, it sounds terrible with bass +2. So I reduce mids and highs instead after 60% and leave bass to 0, though it loses some volume, the speaker maintain it's bass better

@@collinsnicky1202 It's writen in my original comment. Reduce mids and treble in JBL EQ past 60% and leave bass to +0 (I use +0 -1 -2 above 60%) Bass will limit at 70/80% instead and the reduced mids / highs will make the speaker less harsh at max volume.

Hello there, I just bought the JBL Charge 5 and hear the bass is too strong. I use it with PC (Windows). Is it possible to change (lower the bass) it? 🤫 I do not plan to use it with phone. I see people using the equalizer on the phone, would it change the sound on PC if I changed it in the app? 🙂 (It is funny how you HAVE to have a phone even if you do not want to use it with it, I did not know it before buying) Thank you for the help. 😉

Great, so my $600 Boombox 2 doesn’t get the update? It’s their 2nd most expensive portable radio an it absolutely needs an eq so what’s the deal JBL? Smh

If i raise the all the 3 bands all the way up am I getting a louder sound technically louder than the normal 100%? Is the speaker going to handle it or is it going to distort?

On the xtreme 3 you only get small amount of mid boost not really noticable. Eq doesn't work that great at higher volumes

After 60% I don't push the EQ because you lose bass. After 60% I reduce mids and highs instead

Ever since Samsung got a hold of Harmon Kardon and JBL they be doing some BS with features. No more mic and aux and limited on the software updates 😐 but I ain't gonna lie I'm still coping some lol

I suspect a lot of the seemingly shady things JBL does is because of hardware restrictions. Maybe not all but I could imagine the eq needing a specific chip in the speaker it self because the eq gets applied in the speaker it self, not in your phone. edit: btw I loved the video and your charge 5 review. I’m planning on upgrading to the charge 5 from the 3 but I’m worried that it won’t last long enough especially if I have it at max volume with increased bass

The EQ is stored in the memory. Which is the same memory that hold the firmware. There's no need to have specific hardware

These speakers already have a DSP chip which is responsible for dynamically adjusting the sound profile, that’s how they limit their bass when you turn them up to 100%. I don’t think it’s at all impossible for this feature to work even on a flip 3, much less flip 5

It's not supported my 225tws is not supported I really don't understand how they don't have support across the board for all there headphones 🤔 you can use the sound beautifier app it's much better and have more settings you can use to enhance you headphones or earbud experience

That’s no excuse, the XTREME 1/2 and boombox 1/2 have tweeters and they still don’t have an eq

It's not if it sounds like a tinny version of the Charge 5 😆 If you want "correct sound" buy a Hifi speaker

@@lukabosnjak3829 There is no such thing as a "correct sounding" speaker. The Charge 5 is by no means (harsh or boomy) If anything, the bass of the Charge 5 is light, the bass of the flip 6 is almost non existent 😂 The flip sounds extremely small bodied and high pitched compared to the Charge.

@@jblking3896 I will pair my Flip 6 with my Charge 5, it should be a killer combo. (Had Charge 4 + Flip 4 earlier, that was great as well, with the Flip handling the highs/mids and Charge adding that extra bass.)

honestly jbl xtreme 3 is very overpriced speaker with less bass eventhoug i tried the EQ but nothing changes .I usually feel ashamed when I hear people listening to other Bluetooth speakers which are cheap and sound more bassy and louder than my extreme 3.JBL
