@@Miharbingsnope, mans got up and walked himself out of the arena. he had to wait for the surgeon to come in and help before he could move again but they ended up fusing a few vertebrae in his neck. he’s up walking and talking and coaching a new PBR team

Me and my brothers ,I'm the youngest was raised on the Macon Body Ranch here in Tx. We had this old barrel hangin from a tree by a big rope , then a rope in the front and back of the barrel so that 2 can be jerkin the hell out of it . We got hurt alot out there . Busted mouths ribs heads . Good memories. My dad was a small framed cowboy so he rode bulls and broke horses out there , and did all the roundin up cattle , we rode the calves then steers . One of my best memories was helping cut the bull calves , and we ate calf fries that night .keep sayin memories cause my dad wooped up on my mom one night and then left us there for about 3 weeks with no way to get around or anything. Well long short I went from livin the life in N. TX ranchin life , ended up in dam S.Tx. Dam city . The direction of my whole life changed that day.im still F**kd up over that. Didnt reunite with dad till I was like 20. He was already about all dried up by then , old , on a cane , I went to see him for the first time since I was 6 as soon as I got off the bus , we went straight to a PBR Show , stayed about 2 weeks then headed back home.he died about 2 years later.i always find myself watching all videos like this and think of what could have been and I get sad and mad. Moms gone to now. Just my 1 son and I, is all that's left of my family. I'm 49 now.that pic. There is about 11 years old.sorry for ramblin. Love the videos.

He moved his ranch to Texas and now he raises the bucking bulls for Rodeo time. He will be around and is such a great guy to try to help other bull riders....good guy.

​@@louisewelch5451 the Houston Rodeo is the biggest in the world, and Texas in general has rodeos all the time for amature riding. So I wouldn't doubt he could become a judge for contest.

This aired 11 months ago..Since then recently Jb has quit Bull riding..i still like to look up these old shows and watch him ride. He was my favorite Bull rider. He had a good career made alot of money..he has a family now so its good he made that decision..he has a daughter to raise. No more injuries for JB Mauney. He has alot of life to live. One of the Best riders ive ever seen with my own eyes, his reputation is "LEGENDARY " 🎉💥💥

You must not know much about the actual rodeo scene. JB doesn't ride in the PRCA... He rides with the grown folk in the PBR.

These 2 did great! I rode bulls for 10 years every week (except for injuriy times) then another 4 years that I could not ride a bull that kicked over my ankle and I still remember my first 2 rides!

JB is just a legit Cowboy and we aren’t used to seeing that. This is what men used to be.

Damn straight !!!! I myself, I'm a professional mechanic. Back in my teens I helped a friend out in their farm quite a bit and they had horses and their neighbors I think had a couple bulls. Rode the horses several times, but they wouldn't ever let me get on a bull. Looking back now, I should have tried and asked harder...

What a treat to watch JB coach newbies! How lucky can you get? But as i watch these guys get ready for their first ride, I feel like I'm going to pass out! Aw, but kind of cute , That last bull really just sort of walked/lumbered in a circle..his high kicking days are long over, but the guy stayed on pretty well and even an old slow bull is a challenge. Lots of fun and god on them for trying! Very glad no one got hurt. And I have always adored JB Mauney.

when i was a kid flying from colorado springs to lasvegas i sat next to a guy from the pbr hall of fame. and i told he was crazy/the riders are crazy and he said i was for racing dirtbikes. i told him if i do everything right. i dont hit the ground. when you do everything right your hitting the ground and you got 2000 lbs of hate looking for you. j.b. is rigtht.
