Man, this era of "Modern Rock Music" was so damn good. Bands like Crossfade, Cold, 12 Stones or Flaw. Just amazing music.

You are right on with your words of wisdom and thank you so much for taking the time to listen. My band mate, Les, will love your piano style…as I do. Best, Ed

3:24 Just busts out an epic lil keyboard solo! Dude that was sick! Crossfade is a killer band, wish they were still around.
This album crushes even to this day.
Not sure what happened to them after that first album, but it’s a shame they didn’t see more success. Just a fantastic piece of music. Your insight is spot on.

Ed Sloan (guitarist/lead vocals) writes solo music now. We All Bleed was the last album to be released.
Always loved this song growing up as a kid. Never knew how much it would resonate with me as an adult
First time I heard this was when I bought a PSP and it came with a UMD of music videos. That’s how I was introduced to this band along with three days grace and coheed & cambria!

Same with me ! Also picked-up a copy of twisted metal and ape escape haha time flies .
It feels like he didn't set out to be that person, but didn't realize he'd ended up there until it was too late to matter in the relationship.
Stopped what I was doing just to check this out, been a huge fan of Crossfade since I was shown them in '08. This song brings back so many memories and damn I played the ever living heck out of all 3 of their albums! Their last album featured some very different music, much darker in sound with songs like We All Bleed, Suffocate, Killing Me Inside.
This entire album is amazing!!

Crossfades third album is a masterpiece. I highly recommend listening to it in its entirety.

I've only heard some of their stuff outside of this and didn't like it but am curious about their third album now :o
Well this is a blast from the past 🫣 I’m old AF
My guy calls me his broken one. I have CPTSD so if I am triggered I can do anything from fight (usually words on my part), flight (leaving sometimes without warning or contact), fawn (would agree to about anything trying to keep the peace), or freeze (where I am quiet, still, and distant in every aspect). Sometimes being cold is just a reaction to a stressful situation and emotions like falling in or our of love can be as triggering as any other. So let us go with the colder they are maybe just the more help they need, at least in my case. In therapy, but this kind of healing sometimes takes a lifetime.
ahhh nostalgia!!! but it makes me feel old!!! 🤘🎶🖤💜 and I think I totally needed this therapy session so thank you David! 💗
Love how they just come straight in and bam they hit you with that hook, great band and song! Would have nice to hear more about the song than a relationship rant though, I think the band deserved more than that .
the instant energy you got once the song started! Hah, I enjoy your reactions when you listen to new music.
Some of us come from broken homes, broken families. And while mindful and resilient, some of these occurrences seem to happen time and time again. Think of it as if that person that keeps fvcking up is trying their absolute best not to, every time. Then the guilt proceeds in its cyclical nature. And songs like this are born.
Ur very right about some of you ur social commentary, I appreciate talking about toxic relationship dynamics and such.
This guy understands music and relationships, I bet you are good at all of those instruments.
This song had you just spitting some facts at us! lol
DUDE! I could literally watch you play ALL DAY. I really wanted to hear you play the entire song. I love this song. And the way you played it was so effiing GOOD to my ears lol.
I love this song. This came out when I was 20 right before I turned 21.
What you had to say is kind and true. Thank you
Great stuff dude. great song. cant wait for the next one
dudeeeeee when you translated it to the piano ... SO GOOD
I appreciated the soap box. It's an emotional piece.
You need to do their song Colors, such a good one .
Relationships are about communication at the root. If things aren't going well, or if one of you is feeling some type of way, or even if things ARE going well, you need to communicate that with each other. Talk about it. All of it. All of the time. It doesn't just happen. Gotta work on it at all times :) I agree completely with you David.
@crumbtember

Exactly. I took something from what you said, that being you have to communicate even when things are good. Like, just being on the same is really important for so many reasons, especially for the sake of consent and having healthy and realistic expectations.
Loved this song! When MTV played videos early in the am
Bro you're awesome! I love your takes!
Thank you for reminding me this song exists!
This was a good album
Man, I had forgotten about Crossfade. They had some bangers back in the day. Dayseeker - Without Me (OMGoooood, Rory's voice is incredible), Neon Grave (if this song doesn't make you emotional, you're probably a robot) Bad Omens - The Death of Peace of Mind Hell, while we're at it, another band on Bad Omens' upcoming tour: Make Them Suffer - Doomswitch STARSET - Manifest (Live)
crossfade is amazing. gotta check out "colors" and "dear cocaine"
This video definitely took a different turn but I liked it! This album was pretty good 😊
This was great ❤
This song was a bop in my teen years, and its still just as much as a bop in my 30's
Wow, I just listened to these guys earlier today for the first time in probably 10 years. WEIRD. Love the channel man, keep doing you
The song is actually about the singer having to constantly choose music over loved ones. Ultimately ruining his relationship with them. Even if its unintentional. It's basically what happens when you invest in a music career. You end up focusing less on the ones you love for the sake of getting fame and doing what you love for a living.
I always thought this was a underrated songs, one I didn’t expect many reactors to post, glad I found it here 😊
God damn i wish i could play piano like that 😂
I don't mind that you turned this into a discussion. That's one of the things that makes music so powerful. Now, my take on it: Being cold even though you don't mean to be may not simply be an excuse. People can have very different personalities and while you can constantly remind yourself to not be that way, eventually your true self will come to the surface. In those cases being up front about it and not trying to pretend to be something you're not is probably the best solution. Get everyone on the same page because if not the resulting damage is just gonna be even worse.
MOAR DGD :)
Now i want to listen a jazz version with the same lyrics & progression
So I literally just found you tonight from Falling in Reverse reactions of their latest ones, and man… I haven’t had a KZreadr hit me like this with wisdom in a long time. I’ve been married 3 years now, married during COVID. Known each other 8 years, the spark didn’t die but it sure fizzled, and it’s my fault. I keep letting things get in the way and come up with excuses and I need to stop doing it. I’m not sure why a random KZreadr inspired me, but thank you… from one musician and music lover to another.
David! I commented on one of your recent videos about all the bands I saw at Aftershock 2022! I forgot to tell you! I saw band maid! Electrifying performance!
Great video!
my favorite quote from John Lennon was that Love is like a vulnerable plant. you can't just expect it to keep alive without effort. you need to nurture and care for it to make it stay alive.
Architects's latest track "a new moral low ground" hits hard and different. I know you recently did "when we were young" but this song is more complex and interesting than what they've released in a while
Came for the reaction stayed for the advice thanks 😊

People can say what they want about Crossfade and Nickleback. Their is a reason for how memorable their songs are
This album was a banger, start to finish
I’m not musically inclined but I’ve read a few places CROSSFADE does something with a guitar note that made their sound unique.

I like to watch your reactions 🔥👑💝
I will keep asking for The plot in you and Bad Omens
You should react from Crossfade COLOR'S PROVE YOU WRONG Just do it! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Your soapbox moment really reminded me of the song Sincerity Is Scary by The 1975 which coincidentally I think you might like haha
Your comments were on point HOWEVER it would have been nice to hear more about what u thought about the track itself. This was an epic song at that time. Always wished they had more hits. Bought their second album also and guess it sold so poorly they were dropped by label? No idea but wished they were given another chance. Number of bands that use more than one singer is so RARE and it always makes me wonder if it’s an ego or creative difference thing that prevents frequency of more bands having multiple singers. Seems like it could extend bands sound and keep it from getting stale. Ego sucks.
this song is really good You should check out breaking Benjamin song polygamous friend . also check out Tiny moving parts song cations. they are a math rock group
please react the the band the "good terms" they did a song called drive thru and a cover of van halens JUMP.
Didn't know I was coming to a therapy session lol but it is true, if you are actively connecting with your partner you will feel that honeymoon lustre over and over again at different times, and you will fall more deeply in love each time
Would you ever look over Steam Powered Giraffe - Diamonds, it’s a Rihanna cover.
Please react tp Alleycat from the Persona 5 video game soundtrack!
Dave I have a good one for you to listen to and react to it’s called “I don’t know what to say” by bring me the horizon and it’s on their album amo unfortunately there isn’t a music video but they do have the lyrics
Can you react to Yelawolf's Rock & Roll Baby? 🙏🙏🙏
"horrible actors" leave my babies alone!! *sigh* i never got to see the live. watching this music video again later in life.... i don't know why the girl went in the garage to interrupt their practice. i am sure she knew when they had practice so...🤷🏼♀🤷🏼♀the story line for the music video is so basic but very "of the time." the jazz break reminds me of "TANK!"by the Seatbelts
"is it because we're human?" Uh, negative. I am a meat popsicle.
It’s kinda cheapened coming from a jazz musician. As one could say your the most distant.. at least musically. Or maybe I’m just being cynical as my parents got divorced after 28 years of marriage. It is the lack of our love for ourselves that makes us “cold to one another. Anyway may you keep the love forever going in your marriage cheers bud from Utah.
No you’re being a hypocrite because im sure you have done worse
