  • @drumqtips

    With match grip, you just have to make more of an effort to raise the stick but it can be equally as effective. Thanks for watching!

    Hi Quincy, Love your videos,I can’t seem to do the stick shot. Is it because I only play matched grip? It seems easier with traditional grip since the left hand is always in more of a up position to stoke it with the right stick. Can it be done with matched grip? Thanks again.

    Hi Quincy. This was a GREAT lesson! I'm really glad I subscribed. Thank you for your hard work and sharing. I DO have a question, though. I've noticed that most modern drummers (I've been playing since the early ’70's) who use traditional grip seem to choke up their left hand so it's almost to the end of the stick. With almost no counterbalance, how do you get good rebound and speed? Thanks

  • @drumqtips

    @drumqtips
