I can sum those 'interviews' up with two words 'being humble' which you have in spades. Hope you're on the mend since covid brother! Appreciate these are quite old, however, the narrative (esp during WAN show's), has seemingly not changed 'too much' on Linus's side (but still LOVE him nevertheless and he should be proud, perhaps just more quietly). #idolovehimandfeelbadforsayingtheabovebutitiswhatitis

The conversation you guys were having about how being an enthusiast should mean that the person is critical, I wouldn't really think of it as critical so much as discerning. The person is more attentive to details that other people don't realize that they actually care about. They have a more clear understanding of how design details that they view as positive or necessary in products translate into key parts of the experience of a product being positive for a larger group of people. I think enthusiasts are usually just more discerning because they take the time to get more information and look more into the details and specs of a product to make sure they are going to be happy. I don't think that is necessarily someone being critical. Maybe this point is pointless, but I like that you guys are discerning.

@gamers nexus and @jayztwocents thank you for this. I'm working on starting a channel making similar content to you guys and others and while I'm working inside my bedroom to start I was still able to take some cues from it for gear and other ideas for the future as well. This is the kind of thing all DIYers should strive toward.

For ez to make, very nice sound panels, consider stepping up to rockwool. build a frame with 2"x2" or 2"x4" boards in 2'x4' or 2'x8'ft lengths. fill with the rockwool batts and cover with fabric using staples to hold it tight. Its the same thing as you'd find in the walls of recording studios, its easily movable and fire resistant too. My recording studio started as 4 concrete walls, but theres no reverb or echo now, and outside sounds are absorbed as well. These panels bought from companies are $300 or more, but its $30 in supplies. for more info, search "diy rockwool sound panels"
