Jayson Tatum's Unsung Playoff Improvement
Спорт
Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics is only 26, but has already played in over 100 playoff games. However, there's an element of his game that through two rounds is the best it has ever been in the postseason. As a result, it gives his game another dimension that makes the Celtics even more dangerous. I take a deeper look at how Tatum can use this to create advantages for both himself and teammates, along with how this could make him and the Celtics tougher to stop on their pursuit to banner 18. #nba #basketball #jaysontatum #nbaplayoffs #bostonceltics #nbahighlights #celtics #sports #trending #highlights

The Celtics are playing essentially the basketball version of Total Football. Tatum is the conductor

Well done
Tatum is such a top player!
Tatum can certainly become a top player when he plays like one. The Cavs/Celtics series definitely showed that.
you have a very good narrating voice

Yeah thats true. And also, hate the system and not the player. Nit our fault our talent is better then the competition and he shouldnt be dinfed for it
Come on now people were saying he was a bust his rookie season I thought and did become an all star other rush him I believe he's going to win one plus think about all the greats or your favorite player and kawaii does not count did they win it there first year

That's supposed to be one of the perks of being the one seed/taking the regular season seriously. Though obviously injuries in the playoffs can't be accounted for.
Tatum soft, he not a killer
Tatum has 0% Urgency in games. It’s infuriating to watch 66% of his shots Brick of the backboard & back of the rim it’s almost like he’s adverse to getting easier buckets…! It’s really stupid for a player of his caliber & ability to settle so much…! He can effectively get any shot he wants but he unquestionably wants to take the toughest shot possible except he isn’t great at it yet. Maybe do what works until what you like to do becomes a real weapon in your arsenal otherwise it’s just a hinderance to your own abilities and productivity…! 🤷♂️🤦♂️🍀

I agree, there are definitely times it appears he settles and forgets how much damage he can do driving to the basket. Some of the off balance shots off the dribble earlier in the shot clock are better "in case of emergency" shots as opposed to ones he hunts.

What you think is 0 urgency is calm dameanor. Also he cannot drive into 3-4 defenders everyplay. His shot distribution is a part of the reason his gravitity extends to the 3pt line. Teams would simply play drop coverage and the spacing would suffer. He keeps teams having to defend every lvl of the floor.

@@Chrism7178 I agree to disagree…! I used to think it was calm & under control demeanor but at some point if you’re the guy then you just have to be the guy & step up, he hasn’t really been a guy the Celtics can go to for that…! I understand the gravity and all that but if the majority of your shots are perimeter shots where you’re shooting percentage is not great then you offset your gravity by bailing out defenders and not creating the threat of driving to the basket just passing doesn’t do that alone…!!
