He had a great 1st half offensively. Locked up defensively and rebounded well the whole game. Only knock here is he devolved into some bad shot selection, settling, iso ball in the 2nd half (especially in the 4Q). That pulled his percentages down. P.S. JT shouldve gotten more foul calls this game. Guys like.mitchell were hooking his off-arm on almost every drive.

He got gassed out second half and started settling. He plays both sides unlike most stars. So I excuse him for the poor shooting second half. Imagine if Tatum only focused on offense like Luka and KD. Letting people just go by him and score then ask for the ball lol. Luka is so annoying to watch as a person who loves defensive players.

  • @TheRobversion1

@@cvgodd1432 luka for sure is annoying to watch. JT indeed plays both sides. I bet JT was gassed. Mazzula overplayed him. He played 41 mins. IMO he couldve shaved a couple off those mins if we kept going to Sam in the 2Q. sam made 2 straight 3s then JT was subbed in for him. IMO we didnt need JT at that time. We couldve continued resting JT, ran a couple of plays for Sam to heat check before we put JT back in. I wont however excuse the poor shooting. My dream for JT is to get to d.white or tim duncans shot selection. If hes tired or its the wrong kind of shot (dribble out the clock into the iso sidestep jumper which i hate with a passion), then just pass the ball. Setup your teammates who have it going like JB and Jrue. Thats the beauty of this team. We have so many weapons. Aside from low clock, theres absolutely no reason to force shots. Move the ball, run the offense.

when the game started to slip away he really picked up the intensity on defense and the boards, that was the whole difference. Also love that he called for the ball in a few of those moments in the 4th.. exactly what we needed.

Richard Jefferson said the realest thing from anybody that works for ESPN. "Sometimes in the playoffs you're gonna have stinkers and you're just gonna have to go home have a beer and forget about it." I totally paraphrased that but that's the idea of it. I get tired of ESPN ppl like Stephen A and Perk acting like one game determines a series. The Cavs played great in Game 2 and deserved that win. The Celtics responded here in Game 3. Just the same way they said the Nuggets will get swept after losing Game 2. Its like these ppl have never seen a playoff series before.

Really tough to defend Tatum. If you put one on him, expect a 30+ point game and if you double him he’ll find the open shooter. Yes game 2 didn’t go that way but we had another terrible shooting night and Cavs had a good shooting night.

He's too inconsistent for my liking. As a Celtics fan this kindve game absolutely furiates me! Where the Hell was this in the Heat series and in the 1st two games of this series!? He'll go back to missing layups, 5 ft bunny shots and side step 3s before you know it. Unfortunately games like this for Tatum are usually an anomaly in the playoffs. He's mentally soft and until he shows me different he'll never be the player we all see him as in the regular season. Brown has been the most impactful player for the Celtics in the playoffs the last few years.
