Man. I had made peace with the disappointing ending to the Finals. I was ready to take a break from basketball for a bit. Then you had to go and show me this and now I’m counting down the days until next season begins

Tatum may have melted in the finals but he still showed a glimpse of his peak during the run up to the end. His playmaking and defense went up a level in May

even though he fell off completely in the finals, he basically saved our season in Game 6 Bucks

It was Tatum’s first finals. Pretty much expected he was going to pay his dues at this age especially against a GSW led by Curry, Klay and Draymond. Plus he was pretty much gassed after playing the most minutes in the playoffs after 2 rounds 7 game series Vs Bucks and Miami with an injured shoulder and rested for only 3 days before the Finals Vs GSW. He would have been much more dominant if he were well rested. Celtics really need to find someone reliable who can give the Jays some rest. And at the same time fill the bench depth with a combination of talented youth players and experienced veterans. This will make or break the team coming into the playoffs. I honestly don’t worry too much about his Finals performance. I even felt losing the Finals could be a blessing in disguise to push himself to become better and better to achieve more and more in the future. If his road to success was too easy, full of flowers and praises at this young age, then he will get complacent easily. He is young, he has to get better, he will get better and he will get there. He is the kind of player who will get many more Finals appearance in the future and this year’s finals will prepare him well for the future.

Agreed. And although he struggled to score I love how his effort was and how he tried to involve his teammates too

You do kno Jayson had like 13 points in a close out game 6 meanwhile Jaylen Brown had like 33. I think it’s safe to say he just didn’t play up to par lol.

JT played a ton of minutes this season especially in the playoffs and honestly he just looked completely worn down in the Finals. Hopefully we can get some more depth in the offseason so he doesn't have to play a ton of minutes to keep him fresher for the playoffs

To think Tatum going to have a revenge season, as he finally knows what it’s like to fail. He will be back, and he will be elite. Incoming MVP

Although he struggled in the finals I have tremendous appreciation for what he did for us to get there and for his continued effort even when struggling. He never gave up on us and he continued trying to win. We just gotta get him and JB a 3rd scorer whilst keeping Smart, Al and Rob as part of the core. A true 3rd scoring option would open up so much and would allow an off night for the Jay's man

I love this as a fan, it was a great playoff run, I'm sure we will be back in the finals again this time holding trophy(s) in the future! This was one of the best seasons as a C's fan, the growth, overcoming adversity, everything! This will carry over into next year and further! I love these highlights

It’s a bright future for Boston IF we keep Both Tatum and Brown they both are future superstars. If we trade Brown I don’t see us making the finals again. Like Ppl gotta stop ripping Tatum apart with his finals appearance, give the man a break, he might’ve been a turnover machine in the finals but he was amazing throughout the entire playoffs. At the end of the day no one’s perfect, ppl are gonna underperform, Jaylen brown was just a rare case for us, in most cases young superstars won’t perform astounding their first final unless surrounded by a lot of experienced superstars who have finals experience which we didn’t have, legit 3/5 of our starting lineup is 25 years and younger of age and not even in the peak of their prime, 3/5 of GSW’s starting lineup are 30+ year olds who have finals experience and in their primes as well as wiggins who is entering his prime at 27. Next year Jayson Tatum will be better and will clean up the turnovers next season.

I'm looking for JT to get angry with himself and I find that pit-bull in him this new season so far he's been a nice Golden Retriever Pup but we need that Alpha Dog this upcoming season that knows how Facilitate and score at the same time because his decision making on & off ball has elevated..!! He also better know when his shot isn't falling a particular night don't be selfish making air balls back to back and still want the rock. Make the hockey pass for JB, AL, Robert & Marcus along with your hot hand shooters!! They need to strengthen that second unit asap Summer!!

It's almost unfair to ask him to blow by shorter defenders as that is not his strength. Plus the Dubs D had great spacing with active hands. This year was paying our due for the rite of passage. Hopefully Neismith and Pritchard continue to develop (remember this was just their second year) into the 3 and D and playmaker that we need.

Hell Of A Run Up Until The Finals. This Apart Of The Process. Ups & Downs. He’s Gonna Get Through It And Come Back A Much Better Player In My Opinion. This Will Fuel Him To Become Much More Of A Dog & I Think An Even More Consistent Player. His Game Will Be Much More Poised & Paced With Even More Experience Added On To Help Him With The Mental Side Of The Game.
