On this and the Revel you misidentified the exhaust pipe on the driver side as the alternator. It is not. It is the exhaust for the diesel burner for the hydronic heating system that provides heated air and hot water. Also both units include an induction cooktop from the manufacturer. Unfortunately, some dealers to make a couple dollars more withhold the cooktop.

Jayco all the way!! The 2 jump seats are awesome. The first jump seat slides out into the walkway, allowing space between the two jump seats. Also, the jump seats will recline for a comfortable seating option. Which is more comfortable than the Revel. The countertop pulls out over the fridge and gives you plenty of counter space. There’s an induction cooktop included. I like the 2 reading lamps above the bed.

Great video! One note - I think the Terrain LE (like the one in the video) is on a less expensive MB chassis that doesn't have the LED headlights, safety suite or 4x4. That's why it sits lower than the Revel. All 4x4 Sprinters sit higher than this. The standard Terrain is a closer comparison to the Revel. I think the LE came as a result of 4x4 chassis shortages. I also believe that exhaust pipe on the the driver's side is for the diesel heater, not the alternator. Otherwise, awesome to see the differences between the two models. :)

I'll go with the Winnebago Revel only because I like its color and that its off-roading capabilities due to its higher clearance. I do agree with Andrea that the lack of a stove and microwive is a big negative for me. I need something to cook on if I were to go on long vacations with this vehicle and I hope both Winnebago and Jayco will rectify this in future models.

Hi guys! I prefer that Winnebago. If this Jayco was a little longer/wider, they might have been able to have more comfortable seating, a bigger fridge, and a longer bed, etc. For over $200K I would expect more comfort. Okay, things I like: lots of solar panels, that garage, and the power windows. Things I dislike: #1 (and this is huge for me) No inside cooking at all? I love campfire cooking and grilling. But when the weather prohibits, it's nice to have the option to cook inside. For over $200K I don't want to be standing outside in the rain or snow to cook my meals. #2. That wet bay is still inside! Why? What if I want to stay hooked up to a city connection (how do you shut the doors at night without unhooking?). #3 The cassette for the toilet seems rather small. No way you are doing a whole weekend on that thing (did like Matt's comment "taking your poop out at midnight".) Asking a favor of you guys: I couldn't see if there were outlets or USBs by the passenger area or the sleeping area. This is a perk for me to know. Can you please include these in your reviews?

Love this unit, just wish they'd figure out a way to incorporate a microwave. And put some cabinets in the back over the bed for clothing storage since it's kinda wasted space having the bed go all the way to the ceiling. Plus cant really run the ac with the bed all the way up. A tv would be nice too, but a tablet can be a workaround for that.

  • @Avg_Vet

Wow, can you know that the LE is a cheaper 2wd version and not the same as the 4x4 version. The 4x4 terrain/launch have the large screen, lane assist, adaptive cruise, memory/heated seats and led headlights. It’s only 200watts of solar on the rough. The small solar panel is to trickle charge the chassis battery. You called the air compressor a propane quick connect, there is no propane on these rigs. That was actually the exhaust for the diesel heating system, not the batteries. Please tell me you show of the bench seats and the build quality. The bench seats are more comfortable the most class b bench seats, plus they recline and split apart. The fridge is slightly narrower but slightly taller. Drawers are bigger. Also you didn’t show off the extended counters. I will have to say I used your videos to learn about rvs, and to think y’all did a review/comparison like this is disappointing. You didn’t bring up the larger battery capacity in the terrain. You missed the induction cooktop. Please do your research next time. You also didn’t talk about the off-road lights on the top which the rebel doesn’t have. Disappointing.

Not A Bad Unit. I'm actually looking into 'van life' type RVs. I'm single, so I would like a lengthwise single bed/couch. Definately need TV and Satelite system with Data. Induction single burner, larger fridge, and slughtly bigger bathroom. I don't know if one like that is produced, or if i would likrly have to build one. A small generator would have been nice in this one, as well as the one I would like. Kinda small, but, hey if you're single, there is plenty room. If i bought this one. I would remove 2nd row seats, maybe put in a swivel recliner, and mount a TV....lol. Great review guys.

I’m looking at a C, and for the price, I’m staying with a C .:. If I HAD to pick, (sorry J) it’s the Revel for the extra ground clearance and the nicer cockpit .:. Thanks M/A for the look

And I totally agree with both of them that there is no microwave at least..Finally I think Winnebago should be their other travago floor plans on the 4x4 Mercedes...but back to Jayco, I think they need to do better with this unit....for instance why don't they supply the rear blackout and other bits that the national parks version have if they want to take the market?..nice try but for 200K neither one is really realistic in my view.

I like the Winnebago better because: 1. It was higher off the ground, probably a higher lift kit. 2. 10” screen and the other options 3. Additional storage I did like the Jayco running boards, the light bar on top and above the cassette toilet door, and the bathroom door.

I prefer Winnebago as well but when the Jayco is 20,000$ (or more) cheaper and offers you more than the Revel then it makes it harder to go with the Revel. It has more battery, has the light bar, it has the air compressor, it has nicer rims and it has the improved suspension. All those installed separately amount to a lot of money

@@JohnSeitz somewhat agree and disagree. Pleasure way wanted it to be minimalistic and rugged. That's why they gave you two jerry cans to replace the grey tank. To be honest, all of us with a class b with a cassette toilet only use the grey tank to pour in the cassette to rinse it out after dumping and almost never dump it at a dump station. You are right it feels more like a custom build. The features, setup and price keeps it off my list for a future buy. Storyteller, jayco terrain/enterga launch and the Winnebago ekko is my top choice.

One thing about that second row of seats. When I was at the show in January, the guy there showed me that the inboard seat could slide left and right, to give more space for people in each seat. That makes it better to carry larger people when driving, then slide them together when camping so that they're not in the way as much. I still don't like the seats though, and wouldn't buy this or the Revel because they're a waste of space *for me.*

I'd likely leave out a shower as one can clean their dirty parts with a warm washcloth or baby wipes. And I'd leave out the bathroom sink as one can easily make do with just a kitchen sink...I'd definitely have a kitchen. No kitchen is what I'd expect in a sub-$80k RV. With gas prices as they are, I do believe the RV manufacturers will soon be coming back to Earth with their prices.

No. The connection on the rear is an air connection. Not propane. There's an on board air compressor. There is a second one under hood. The exhaust by drivers door is the diesel heater/hot water heater. Is this 4x4? My entegra is and I thought the terrain was also. Maybe the LE version isn't.

@@gme5802 that's what I thought also. Before I got the entegra we looked at a terrain and it was 4x4 with bigger monitor in dash and electric seats like out entegra. This one isn't fixed exactly like mine so thought the LE might mean something. That wasn't on the terrains we looked at.

Do your research. You didn’t even show the rear seats how they recline and slide away from each other for more comfort. Of course you forgot Jayco has a two year warranty. How about no microwave or tv. There is an induction over in cabinet somewhere. Portable. Trim level on front dash is due to supply and demand. Some are loaded. Your walk around is terrible. I know you do this all the time but your both not really excited. Don’t just say this is rv has stuff. Tell us what it is. Look over the RVs before you show them. Who cares about the plane. If your job is too sellthem then know your product.

They can hate this comment all they want, 'cause as we all alredy know HATERS GONNA HATE, but if I'm gonna spend north of $220k, I might as well get the HYMER Grand Canyon S Campervan imported from Germany. Yes, importing might be a legal pain in the ass, but as I see things, it's worth the trouble. And traveling to buy the Van seems like a nice little adventure.

Why are so many Class B RV vans made on a Mercedes chassis? Why not Ford or Ram?

  • @gme5802

    @gme5802

    2 жыл бұрын

Because the Ram is garbage. Worst built of the three vans. The ram also has traction issues. Ask any delivery man how it performs in snow or wet roads. The Transit is a PITA to work on. Everything is shoehorned in and difficult to get at, and it’s a gasoline engine. The Sprinter also has issues but overall is the best built of the three.

Dear Matt & Andrea I would like to share this true story of how your videos influenced my wife and my life!!! The mood hits us, feeling amouresqu my wife looks at me an says, "are you gonna give me the Godzillah of motors tonight" Thinking nothing of her statement, and caught in the moment of things, this couple starts to get busy! After a few seconds (LOL) the wife starts saying "This is nice honey, followed by Matt's sound fx of bing!!! bing!!!!" At that VERY moment it all came together. Most nights we watch your videos in bed for our shared entertainment, and we REALLY enjoy the content! Getting back to our story, our session wrapped up with the wife saying in a high pitched voice, " Ba baba ba "Pottable break DING!" At this point I'm in a real dilemma, do I say anything and blame you guys for this person I didn't recognize tonight OR do I risk NEVER again experiencing a night of hot passion! In conclusion I have deduced to shutting up and to continue enjoying Matt's RV Reviews! Folks I BEG YOU, NEVER STOP MAKING CONTENT!! Thank you from a fellow French Canadian man who's married to a Canadian/Hungarian hornet! - Shawn & Teresa
