@@thisisrsoul Noel Gallagher was critical of the choice of Jay Z as the headliner that year because he's a rapper, when normally rock bands were the usual choice. This performance is Jay-Z's response to Noel, essentially saying, "fuck your opinion". And it's made more cheeky by the fact that Jay-Z butchered the song 😂

That was amazing. I remember how he faced such a reactionary backlash when they announced he was headlining the show! And yet he arrived there unbothered asf. And then Beyonce became the first African American female artist/ the first woman, period, to headline that festival. He ran so she could fly and she killed it! They both did. Reminder : The roots and foundation of rock & roll music is black American music, tradition and culture. One branch became hip hop the other is what we all call rock & roll. So saying he didn't belong just illustrated those people's lack of knowledge about the very art they said they ~~own~~ What else is new?

This was an argument about whether a rapper should headline Glastonbury is that right? Oasis have written many incredible songs but all great musicians generally love other genres. Well we know he was mocking Noel but pretty sure Jay Z can't sing at all anyway. I've heard him play around other times before and I can't carry a tune at all so maybe he was trying ages make it sound even worse Lake what the h*** I'm going to sound like Krapp anyways so oh well. Pretty sure most people know he was mocking Noel. For if they didn't know the back story they would not have known ....how They know I was mocking Noel if they didn't know the back story? It's like when Roseanne Barr sing the national anthem and she is a comedian and deliberately Mark it up but the die hard patriots for insulted and she Caught a lot of slack. Like me Jimi Hendrix played the star spangled banner on a let you get tar that was considered a big no no apparently. Now it's classic like this video. Something people were stupid they just didn't know the back story bro. You should go check out roozen singing the national anthem because it was freaking hilarious.

@Rickardo Gallardo All know no Jay z's made it really really clear that on his playlist you're gonna find a middle everything. Those days of Americans only liking one type of music and not listening to anything else are pretty much over. You still got those sticklers that won't even give a new type a chance but I guarantee you I could at least play maybe lose yourself by Eminem and they could at least dig that a little. I like all types of music although I got my favorite styles. Especially back when rock and rap started mixing. So I like a Little bit of everything bro and Jay z's One deep brother. At 1 time of course there was one style of music I prefer but that was pretty much just because that's what I was hearing all the time in my crew or relationships. But anyone from a kid all the way up to 60 or more Pretty much Listens to a little of everything these days don't you think? I would go so far to say that if someone want even give different music a chance or get different types of movies a chance then that says a lot about them in all parts of life. Sorry going to school For psychology so I can get a little off subject.
