Cam deleted Jay-Z verse because Jay-Z deleted Cam’s verse on Peedi Crakk’s song “One For Peedi Crakk”. The song originally had Cam and Juelz on it, it’s now on one of those early Dipset mixtapes because Cam kept a copy. He said it himself on Drink Champs that he simply did it because Jay did it to him.

Jay Z is from BK, those are the grimey cats that were in the streets and wore baggy clothes and timbs, but looked rugged(i.e. early Notorious BIG, MOP, ODB, etc). While HArlem, where Dame Dash and Biggs Burke(the silent 3rd owner of Roc A Fella Records) were from was where the fly dressing cats were from. Camron was also from Harlem, and their swagger is in the style, hence his pink clothing, fur coats, customized clothing and vehicles. You can see the style of dress that Jay Z had once he started Roc A Fella records, and if you look at early, younger Jay Z songs, he looks NOTHING like that smooth player that you see on Reasonable DOubt. Camron is making a reference to something most New Yorkers had been saying for years

I hate that in some of my videos I come off as a Jay-Z hater but I know that everything Cam and Dipset dropped didn't go platinum but they definitely had a huge wave. One thing I forgot to put in the video is that though Cam and Jay may have had differences Jay never stopped Cam from dropping music when he was signed to the ROC. Cam needed 6 signatures and Jay was one of them.

Jay has always taken the business man it's just rap response when it comes to his lyrics but if you watch his moves all the people he called family got hit in the pocket he's not a rapper or your friend he's a business man

I don’t like Jay-Z or Cam’ron. Both are horrible men with petty egos but one thing I will not deny is that their beef is criminally underrated and overlooked for some reason. I am glad they squashed their beef. Cam even said he’s happy that it over. I slightly give Cam the win because he was not playing around especially in his beefs it’s usually funny and not that serious but Jay-Z and Nas, Man he was not playing around with both of them. It just shows the loyality Cam had for many of the former artists unlike Jay who has destroyed several careers. You Gotta Love It and Brooklyn High are one of the most overlooked diss tracks in my opinion people just trash them for some reason. Overall, I think it’s one of the best hip hop beefs of all time.

I'm surprised you didn't mention the Jay Z freestyle over Jim Jones Ballin but great video all together keep up the good work.

I think Jay was fronting like it wasn't a issue with signing Cam because it was a smart move for Dame as far as business. They both knew Jay wasn't feeling Cam. Cam got hotter then anything Roc did before, and Jay didn't have to be the one holding up the ship anymore. That was a threat, and too much power for Dame in Jay eyes. He was replacing him with someone that always secretly competed with him. They were tring to play him, he was making his private moves, and then pulled the plug. One thing I will say though. Dipset was so ready for that opportunity.

I don't think Dame was trying to play Jay. Dame has said that Jay had always been talking about retiring since his album reasonable doubt so he was always uncertain when Jay would retire which Jay did with the black album (we now know he came back). Dame brought Cam in because he needed to replace Jay if he did retire.

You actually missed a lot information though. You forgot to mention Tru Life. He was the main person on Jay’s side got involved because he just signed to Rocafella and he heavily beefed with Cam over a altercation with Jones and Cam and even Nas got involved when he signed with def jam which was Jay was president at the time. Dipset dissed Nas before over his Hot 97 rant but when he squashed his beef with Jay-Z is when Dipset started to got after Nas again. And there was a famous video on KZread that was removed of both Jay and Nas dissing Cam and calling him a snitch. 50 Cent even mentioned the beef in his funeral music track before he broke up Dipset. This beef was already started before Dame signed Cam. They appeared on R. Kelly We Ride and Jay’s verse wasn’t originally from it and Jay wasn’t happy about it. Cam and Jay even had feelings for Charli Baltimore before Jay stabbed Un. Jay even some shots on his Blueprint 3 and 4:44 albums.
