Metal drummers are so crazy to me. How do they consistently keep the energy and hit the same notes every time they play? Pretty crazy stuff.

@@JaCrisspy I’ve been playing for close to 20 years and it still amazes me as to how fast, precise and technical metal drummers are though. It’s just amazing to me. Heard them open with this song before Iowa even came out. Everyone in the place was fucking stupefied. Total assault on your senses. Then saw them on pledge of the allegiance tour and we were ripping the boards off arena floor. Iowa era slipknot is the best.

My guess is, Clowns and Coreys egos are too big for creative input of a third person, the others managed to give a shit over the years.
Glad to say I was there and was one hell of a show. Loved you in this band, man. What a drummer.
Aaaaaaaaarrhhhh! Incredible! Wish I was right there! Love this song, love everything about it and this performance is kicking it totally. That roman theatre and all…Got goosebumps. 🎉If I would see Slipknot and this song one more time live, anywhere in this world, that’s all I ask❤❤❤
I've been a Slipknot fan since 1999, I was 15. But I've lost respect for Slipknot, Jay. I just want you to know that I'm behind you all the way and I will follow you. You are an absolutely incredible drummer. It's their loss. I'm seriously mourning and sharing your devastation from afar. I will follow your progress and career, Jay. We're behind you.

Here's my take on it - Jay is young. He's got a lot of energy, the other guys are like 50+ now? Maybe they're slowing down a little with age and they can't keep up with him? It would make sense if you look how much slipknot have battered their bodies over the years with hard touring, I'm 36 and I'm already slowing down 😂 but Jay is amazing. He will find somewhere his energy will be more appreciated and reciprocated ❤ been a slipknot fan since around 2000, for me they lost their way after IOWA anyway 😢 too radio friendly after that. Minus a couple of heavy bangers more suited to their OG style over the past few years
@PrdtRsic

@@philkasafir. that's a fair take i respect that. I can get behind the fact they're in their 50's now so maybe you're right. Difficult to imagine them from what i remember i guess.

@@anuntsinghdk much about the actual drum set or tuning it, but I thought different style or size of snare determined the sound of it (if its tuned and not cheap). On records, some sound poppy(like this one), some flat (to not stand out too much) some have deep and lower tuned? sound and then there is the Lars St Anger sound

as a drummer I can appreciate some of these camera angles and also the timing of the jump cuts. I can see the sticking on the fills that are being played.... example: like the double 'bucket of fish' at 2:03 -- cool angles where the sticking can be scene happens all thru the clip - masterful job playing, and capturing the performance !
