Definitely the way he won me over. I love his determination and the fact he never gave up no matter how many times he's been put down. Even after being sent to the ground, he still did his best and think for others before himself too; as a leader material. The more I watch him, the more I adore him. He grew so much on me. I even said before, we need somebody like Jay who could hold his ground even through hardest times. The fact he even been through so much on Iland. Went from being an ilander to grounder, then back to being an ilander due to his hard work and went from rank 11 to 3 in just a few days, end up being rank 2 in the finals. Truly inspirational.

Jay is the epitome of the advice that my mom gave me when I was very young. She told me, "You may not always be the biggest, strongest, smartest, fastest, or the best, but you can always be the hardest worker." Jay just doesn't quit and he has this infinite confidence in himself. He learns and then improves. After seeing this, you can see how much of an underdog he was. He had more downs than ups on the show. But he never gave up and look at him now! Truly inspiring!

@@bangtansonyeondan6778 he was kind of weak (it wasn’t his fault) and had a lot of surgeries growing up I think. It was harder for him because he had just got out of a surgery and was a bit weak. Sometimes they called him out for it

tbh, it really hurt to see jay's journey on iland (for me, personally). he looks tough outside, but actually soft-hearted inside. ngl that's one of many reason I respect him (and made him as my bias since then). seeing him debut in enhypen and getting the recognition that he deserves, make me so prouud of him. I'm happy to see him with other members of enhypen. thank you for this video ♥️

I cried while watching I-Land and I cried now, cause I just wanna hug him ( 2:08 ) and make him feel loved, like he did with me. He is a person I will always respect and love🫂 He makes me feel so loved and appreciated, and I just want to give him that one day back, doesn’t matter if it’s by cheering them, buying their albums, or admiring him from afar🫂

Jay truly had experienced the ups and downs on the show. It really hurts to see whenever he's been pushed down. Went from the top, bottom and then back to the top. It was truly a rollercoaster BUT Jay never gave up. His determination and his will to continue to stay strong was inspiring. No matter how much he wanted to be perfect, he still look after others and made sure for them to be the best of themselves. He knew their qualities and focused on others rather not just on himself. When I say he deserved to debut, he really does. We need somebody like that in the industry who is willing to keep their head high even through the toughest times. I mean, look at him now. I'm so proud of him. He's so talented, charismatic and could actually be an all-rounder.

King jay went from last place to SECOND and the only thing that matters now is that he debuted in a legendary group , so proud of him

I almost forgot how heartbreaking his journey was because of all the funny moments and memes he has. And I honestly really like that he didn’t let himself be remembered as a statue to pity on. The reason he’s my bias is because he’s real. He isn’t one of those tsunderes or a ball of sunshine. But he manages being stubborn and honest while also being the mood maker he is. He just has the best personality, and I love him.

I'm late commenting on this, but some people are naturally tsundere or a ball of sunshine. They aren't necessarily faking it.

Jay doesn't know how to quit or give up. And that's made him more of an idol. He's an inspiration!

when K was hugging Jay when he first came back to I-LAND and Jay said that Niki didn't make it back, that moment was so bittersweet to me. K was eliminated and did not make it into ENHYPEN, but he stayed in I-LAND the whole time versus Jay and Niki who were sent to GROUND and made it into ENHYPEN. Jay returned to K saying Niki didn't make it, but now all 3 are going to be doing projects and 2 have already debuted. These boys should be so proud of themselves because they all made it one way or another, and I know that they all care for each other, especially during that scene when Jay told K that Niki wasn't coming back. True friendship and real hard work, the respect I have for these guys.

When I watched Iland, I always feel sad everytime I saw Jay and Niki, they’re so passionate, work hard, extremely talented, but I saw their confidence was getting lower each episode and expected themselves to get eliminated. They deserve so much respect and I’m so happy that they’re debut together, especially now Niki looks much happier, he was so young but when he was in Iland they didn’t treat him like one, they need his help but didn’t really give the respect that he deserved, I was so mad at that time.

Seriously, after watching I-land I really think Jay was like the protagonist of the show. Like seriously, he experienced almost every emotion a person can ever have most especially RESENTMENT, ANGER, and SHAME (if you know what I’m saying😄). This guy is the epitome of hard work and perseverance. And even after all those struggles, he still manage to compose himself and focus on his work. He rose on top and ended up Top 2 and debuted as a member of Engypen. I’m so proud for my guy Jay. HE DESERVES WHERE HE IS RIGHT NOW. Jay is like the main protagonist whose life journey is winding but has a happy ending, Jay makes I-land more interesting to watch.

Jay already debuted in ENHYPEN but everything that happened in this video is still fresh in my mind especially that first part when he kept on trying to get a part. Mad respect for my bias. We love you so much. No doubt you will reach so far.

I felt at one point they just thought that anyone was better than him when they picking the parts and he kept losing to the other although he put his hands up first. It was at the moment I said I am going vote for Jay any chance I got. I hate to be that person but if jay or niki wasnt in enhypen I wouldn't listen to music. I felt their passion more than anyone

He is such an inspiration

He's so passionate and hardworking. He didn't gave up. When people lose confidence, he didn't. Those bad feedbacks towards him, it's like feeding the flame inside him. And he's realistic and humane. He showed us that it's okay to have those negative feelings as long as you get back up again after feeling it. I respect that. I respect that a lot. Jay is unbelievable. And he never hold grudges, he knows how to read situations, and he understood what needs to be done. They way he do things, it's pure hardwork, pure passion, pure kindness. And he always tried to help others, he's so generous, he always tried to do what he can. I fell in love with his attitude, with how he face things. Tbh, I'm a person that always gives up when someone gave me a bad comment, and when I see Jay... it's just, I envy him a lot for having that much confidence and passion. I pondered, wondering how he can be like that, wondering how I can be like him. I respect him a lot. That is why he's my bias. He didn't give up. He's too stubborn to give up and I'm glad. I'm so glad that he didn't give up, I'm so glad he debuted. He deserved it.

I've watched their journey many times now and sunoo, ni-ki and Jay's stories never failed to make me cry, like.. how sad and disappointing, they don't deserve all the rudeness. Good thing they're all tough and confident, especially ni-ki.. I'm happy that he hang in there. I really love enhypen, the 7 members deserve their debut.

coming from a well off family, it is surprising to see how humble he is. You've been through so muhlch jay but all your hardwork was finally paid off. Im a late fan but after watching I land and get to know you, I am amazed of how great you are and how someone can have that positive mind evenin the worst situation. I admire how brave you are. Jays definitely that guy in the show we can all relate to the most, we’ve all had those moments where we wanted to do something or be apart of something and others have gotten chosen over us, Jay was just able to go along with it and fight through, he had potential and he knew he had potential. My biases!!

Thats why he's my bias he inspires me so much. In iland he caught my attention with his confidence and how he never gave up. When he goes for something he's passionate about, for example like a leader when he wanted to win. He was willing to give his all just to win.

Don't be Mad at me, but at the unit performance I really felt disappointed and kinda of mad at K and Seon for removing Jay on the dance unit, they didn't trust Jay enough and they feel bad for Jay? Knowing Jay I know he can practice and perform that dance move well because he's very passionate and hardworking. It's just like what he said that they get rid of him. I feel bad for Jay in this part.

There were reasons why Jay was replaced :- 1. He wasn't able to pull off the spin move and he could actually hurt himself. 2. Sunghoon had been practicing too and tho Jay was doing really good in other dances, Sunghoon was better at that step. 3. One small mistake in that performance and the 3 (or 5) would be the reason 6 ilanders would've been eliminated. So it was better to not take any risk don't u think? 4. It was already late when they noticed this. So they had to hurry up in making the decision. 5. Its not like they didn't trust Jay. If it was so, they wouldn't have accepted him as a representative in the first place. 6. They felt bad for Jay bcz they care abt his feelings. They r friends. But they had to take the decision to replace him otherwise 6 ilanders could've been eliminated. Why I'm saying this is bcz the grounders' unit was strong too to give them a good competiton. 7. Jay would've felt as being wanted to get rid of but it wasn't so. We viewers know it. He is not someone anyone would like to get rid of. And yes u said Jay could've improved in that step by practising a bit more but sadly they had a time limit. Don't misunderstand, I'm not mad at u. Its just that even tho it hurts to see Jay sad, what was done was for the best. And I was sad when he was replaced as Jay was also my top pick along with K. But I analysed the situation and its nothing to be mad at.

His Journey was definitely my favorite

I'm so glad Jay debuted. Drunk-Dazed was the era to which I fell down the rabbit hole and Jay stood out to me most, he got me into Enhypen and now I'm a full-blown fan. If he didn't debut I would not be here commenting on this video. Also, I like how he comes from a fairly wealthy family but didn't act so entitled and didn't try to buy his hard work. Love you jay

I hate how underrated he is. I don't get how people can see how hard he worked and how much he went through and think to laugh. The fact that I only ever see people mentioning Jay when they are laughing at him is what really annoys me. How do you see someone crying and you think to laugh?? He showed talent, hardwork, and determination and in the end people still don't take him seriously. I'm hoping sometime in the future people will finally start to appreciate him as an artist and not someone to laugh at.

He's like Suga, tough yet vulnerable. A very genuine person, and they don't like the feeling of getting betrayed by the people whom they trusted.

Jay gave off the best impression he possibly could of when he kept trying for parts. That was the moment he won over so many fans. He even trended on twitter for it. Like people never forgot about that moment throughout the season. I seriously think that small action of raising his hand part after part helped him debut while talent and hardwork is important you also need fans to have a good impression of you. I always voted for Jay when ever I got the chance too. 😂😂 He was my #1 Pick

The comments make me feel so warm watching everyone appreciate Jay as much as i do. The embarrassment he faced, especially when they were picking parts for singing made me nearly cry reminding me of how much i've been in hurt in my own way, wether it was basketball games or group activities. Betrayal hurts the most, and seeing Jay stay strong made my admiration for him grow. He really believed in himself and others, without him there would be no Enhypen.

When i first saw jay in the very first episode i thought he was just some rich kind with an attitude but that drastically changed when i saw him going for each part though he got shot down over and over again. That made me have huge respect for him. it aint easy to have confidence all the time when you have been constantly put down. Thats when he became my number one pick.

In the first episode Jay looked like a sociable & cool kid, but when I watched the next episodes it turned out that Jay is more than cool, he is kind & funny.

I was literally crying the whole time watching this ... he worked hard and achieved his position now in ENHYPEN I feel proud to say that I AM A JAY STANNNN!!!

just remember, the 1st time i saw him on ILand, i knew he'll debut no matter what.... alhtough the int'l fan worried me... but still i pray & happy that he'll finally debut.... #JAY.fighting

Jay's unique and startling honesty is a huge reason why I admire him and wish to be a little bit like he is--both with myself and with others. To not put up a false front or raise the pitch of my voice to be seen as gentle and soft when when inside, I want to be comfortable and laugh loudly. To being unapologetically myself! Fighting!!

Jay got my respect... he's a very strong person. I'm so proud of you Jay!

Jay's tenacity, grit, and genuineness is the very reason why people adore him, ME ESPECIALLY. This is also the very reason why he not only won over many fans but as well as the family members of ENhypen. Remember those calls Heeseung and Sunoo made with their family. Heeseung's brother said Jay is so cool, much cooler than Heeseung, and Sunoo's sister adored Jay especially with Sunghoon. Again, when they received lunch boxes, Heeseung's brother did not forget to mention Jay. Along the years, we would hear compliments from Enhypen's family like that one time Jungwon's mom just called him to tell him Jay is so cool during their performance or when Niki's parent appreciated Jay. I believe we have other accounts of their families complimenting Jay too. Furthermore, Jay was the most responsible among them. Remember how he immediately stood up in behalf of the Grounders and those who were not chosen by Heeseung during their Dive Into You performance. He has shown and proven himself as a true leader. A man of character and substance. No wonder the maknae line of Iland and Enhypen respected and adored Jay out of all of them. And that is why even though TVN only tried to emphasize his embarrassing moments which we all love about him too, they simply couldn't hide his enviable character and personality. So in the end, he ended up debuting in the second place only next to Jungwon (JayWOn supremacy! Ayiie). Heeseung is absolutely great. He is my first bias because they really emphasized him but then as I-land went on, I can't help but be bias-wrecked by Jay. Now I LOVE HIM UNCONDITIONALLY. I am a guy and this is what I really love about him. I hope to be like him. I aspire to be the man that he is too. His tenacity, grit, and genuineness is such an inspiration. My prayer is that to all Blue Jays and Engenes, may you all have the same strength of mind and will that Jay have. The same tenacity, grit, and genuineness. God bless you! Cheers!

not me crying when watching jay journeys :') i know how struggle he is and too jay : please be enhypen mood maker until end

Recently I got interested in enhypen so i started watching them and I really liked all of the members but to get to know them better,I decided to watch I-land and boom I fell in love with jay becuz of his strong passion he really is the most hard working person no matter how many ups and downs came he never gave up and kept trying his best also he has such a nice personality,he is seriously the best guy :(

he's so strong willed, this man. lots of people, if they were in his shoes, would have given up with the amount of pressure Jay gets, as well as getting rejected for parts that he wanted, or not getting the ranking he wanted. he's amazing, and I wish him the best in his journey to success that he wanted.

Personally I think jay, sunoo and niki had the most motivational journey on the show.

I've been with them since day 1 and I already know everything that was shown of their journey but I am still going to watch

Jay never gave up he was determine to be the best that’s why he became my Favortie. His mindset is unmatched

It's so heartbreaking to watch him raise his hand for every part but never get one. Jay is such a hard worker, he's dedicated like no other but somehow it always backfires on him, something always goes wrong and it's so vexing and admirable at the same time because he never gives up. Everyone's had a hard time in I-Land but I can't help but feeling that he's bad it the hardest even though he was in the top group most of the time. It's always the same, not good enough, not improved enough, someone's better suited for what he's trying so hard to do, it takes a lot of courage and strength to take all that and power through without losing confidence in his own abilities or resent everyone else for taking away his chances. He has such an admirable character and it pains me that people are out there claiming any different when he's done nothing but show us his hard work, always caring, always giving.... I hope his further way in life isn't connected to such pain anymore

This video almost got tears in my eyes... I can't imagine enhypen without Jay... I mean he's simply an amazing guy... he deserves so much more love... I really wanna hug him right now. 😢

Jay had a real rollercoaster ride on I-LAND, tok many ups and downs along on his way but he conquered it all. All what happened there is still fresh on viewers mind, how they treated him and get hurt, fall down many times but still eager to do his best. I truly understand what he feel on that days, why he is mad & upset but he prove to everyone that he will do it too. I felt really proud of him by watching iland, his character development and he really had a pure heart. Our jay do his best, and now he made it! We are so proud and grateful. (& I think jay, sunoo & niki had an very unforgettable journey in I-LAND)

Mind you I didn't watch all of Iland however I did watch enough to understand how much the debut group (Enhypen) needed Jay there's no denying it Enhypen would not be the same without Jay. all of Enhypen are hard workers but jay just stands out to me the most. The first time I saw him I immediately thought to myself he needs to be in this group no matter what he became my bias and I was so so so proud when he got in I cried a little. Also as a dancer and a performer myself I feel the pain

jay is who everyone wants/dreams to be, he has so much passion, pays attention to his members, has perserverance, and really, so charismatic.... jay

I remember when I watch the ep where he keep raising his hand for every part but getting rejected that was the time when I start admire him he is really pure and humble person 💞💓

Jay is my bias in Enhypen (Baby Bluejays) after watching I-land I like Jay more and more, he is amazing. In the first episode Jay looks like a rich kid who is sociable, handsome & cool, but after watching I-land to the end it turns out that Jay is more than cool, Jay is a good boy, strong & funny. It turns out that Heeseung brother & Sunoo sister also like Jay, I'm also an only child like Jay & I want to have a brother like Jay.

imagine how he felt when people he cares or close to him didn’t choose him. k wanted to change him from his position. heesung didnt choose him. i mean we all know it’s survival show but emotionally that wasn’t okey but he didn’t keep that. gosh! his such a strong person mentally. i saw jay at tiktok coz of his funny moment and i end up search him this few days. sunoo and him got the toughest battle in iland. i was amaze with him actually. i only stan 2 person in kpop. jin and seulgi. might add jay on my list.

It's been a year now but I watched this video again and I cried because I can relate to Jay so much. That feeling when people whom you're the closest to don't choose you because of competition. It's not an easy feeling and you need to be strong enough to accept it.

🥺💔Jay's journey was really hard for me to watch, becuz i felt so bad for him, especially when he raised his hands so many times for parts but kept getting rejected, REALLLLY hurt me.💔 But im SO GLAD he is now part of ENHYPEN, where he is treated right and with love. I hope he UNDERTSTANDS how much he means to us, engene💖

This pretty boy had my heart lots of respect for you Jay ❤️❤️

I am honestly feeling very bad for him , when he was kept getting rejected and got frustrated ... but there a lot more to learn from him ... he does have talent and he has never given up on him and see now who he is a member of ENHYPEN , for me every one is the best in theor group And J HOPE'S smile made the last event even more happier for me

IDK too why they keep rejecting him they even picked Daniel over him on part 1 but My conclusion is they want too eliminate the threat ASAP, that's why they don't want him to have a good part on that.

I watch for 37 seconds suddenly the bgm made my tears fall, im not ready to watch Jay's painful moment again 😢

Tbh jay is really brave,and the others really looked down on him,but yet he still kept being friends with them
