and look what impressions got him, if all you have is voices of other people then you have nothing. him having a failed career proves that. you cant be a 1 trick pony anymore it doesnt work because anyone can just go to youtube and type in impressions

@@Bidwellz9 , I felt that way when he was on SNL years back. His impressions were so good but that was about it. What was said wasn't really funny, maybe he relied on the writers there. Now I find what he is saying as funny as hearing his spot on impressions. Still movies and a show like SNL requires you to be able to play original characters too. Jay was only used on the show when they needed a celebrity he could impersonate. I see a lot of people trash Kenan because his voice always sounds the same when he's playing a celebrity. That doesn't matter because so many people find him funny and he's always coming up with funny characters and can slip into a role.

They both skilled with the voices but Jay’s on another level with how easily he improvises shit and makes it sound EXACTLY like something the person would say, so much so you might have to look it up to make sure it isn’t a direct quote

I’ll never forget discovering Jay on KZread before SNL and my jaw dropping at how scary accurate his impressions were. He’s a mimic. and a brilliantly talented one. It was no surprise to me when he landed SNL. It was also no surprise to see countless similar videos from KZreadr impressionists replicating Jay’s model to showcase themselves. I really feel Jay was one of the first to do it.
